This home has been recently remodeled in great good taste with a view to making open interior spaces that are light filled and provide PGA views from wherever you sit. Everything in the house is brand new except for some of the art work.

Even the pool and spa are brand new and from the spa you get great views of the golf course and mountains.

This is a turn key home filled with everything you need to spend a week end or a couple of months. Highway 111 is down the street a couple of miles, with Costco, Starbucks, Sprouts, Best Buy and all the shops along 111. El Paseo in Palm Desert is 15 minutes away. There is intense coverage by supermarkets like Ralphs, Vons, Stater Bros on every corner as well as plenty of CVS Pharmacy stores. Interstate 10 is also extremely close, about 10 miles, allowing you to quickly head to Palm Springs and other Coachella Valley destinations.

While there are restaurants from the world class to all the well known fast food chains all the way from La Quinta to Palm Spring, you need go no further than La Quinta Old Town and up to Highway 111 and Washington to enjoy the same range. The Lavender Bistro is owned by a French chef and offers both truly authentic French dishes and some more American influenced served either indoors or outside on their charming terrace. The 'Crab Pot' is just a block away in Old Town La Quinta service excellent sea food in an information red checked table cloth environment. The 'Grill' is across the parking area. Just up Washington at Highway 111 is a Trader Joes and next to it is 'The Fish Market' with great seafood dishes and generous lunch and dinner specials. Peter D'Aprix and his wife, Linda, and partner in all ways, have purchased this luxury villa just this summer. We fell in love with the views, the light, the open and airy feeling of the house, the finishing touches, the privacy of the floor plan letting each room be separated from the others, each becoming its own entity, each with their own character. There is something special about the desert and even more special about looking out over the green and undulating landscape that surrounds the villa, the peace, the rusty, crusty hills in the background with their long horned sheep well out of sight, that makes this spot special. While right on the beaten path of highway 111, within a stone's throw of Palm Desert, Palm Springs and the other glittering food and shopping areas, it is nevertheless caught in a timeless eddy of tranquility that the others lack. And this appeals to us immensely. The skies are constantly changing. Early morning and evening are especially appealing. A photographer's dream.

We found this property and immediately fell in love with it. It had been heavily remodeled, walls removed, spaces opened to light and air and 'people flow'. The morning light shines in one side and the afternoon light the other.

The kitchen was completely remodeled with new granite counters, all new stainless steel large appliances, much thought given to the ability to both prepare a meal and provide space for keeping visitors out of your way but plugged in as well. The 24' square stone styled tile is cool to the feet while the fuzzy carpets in the bedrooms great for yoga or other restful pursuits and absorb the sound.

There was the perfect space to install a pool and spa with views out over the links just a couple steps from the patio doors. Understated luxury, comfortable yet clean and uncluttered.

Insect infestation.

Although the rental was perfectly clean, we had a serious issue with roaches in the house. The owners provided spraying for the roaches which helped to improve the situation (but did not end it). We also found that it was not very private since there were no window coverings on all the large sliding glass doors that faced the golf course. We would not rent this property again.

Owner's Response: You are quite right, houses in La Quinta and in the desert in general suffer from insects, usually crickets, but not restricted to them, finding a way into the houses even when they are well sealed as is ours. A constant battle. And you also, erroneously, complained of mouse droppings and then swept them away before the Western Termite people you recommended and we used could see them. They arrived as quickly as they could to deal with both the insects (not roaches but Water Bugs) and the mouse problem that did not actually exist. But this cost us a lot of money to deal with and we had the service follow up monthly, and in that first month they came twice. I honestly do not know what more you or anyone can do than have exterminators come to deal with what they are expert at doing and who have the best knowledge of the situation that exists in the desert regions. If they can't solve that problem I don't know who can. We arrived at the house the day you left and did not see any insects. As for the privacy, you did have a tour of the house the year before you decided to take it after having seen several other properties. We pointed out at that time where the blinds were and where they were not. We do not have them on the east facing patio windows since we do like the unobstructed view of the mountains, the golf course and the pool/spa. But all the other windows in all the bedrooms and the family room have blinds for complete privacy in case someone gets the impression from your comment that they would be exposed to public view in those private areas. So really this should have come as no surprise and no one else has complained about this over the last 3 year that we have been renting the property. You also had many other complaints only one of which proved to be an actual issue, the drip from the master WC which we had corrected immediately. There was no gas leak in the laundry room. There is no gas in the laundry room. We sent you instructions to turn up the temperature of the water heater, we have instruction attached to the water heater and we paid our handyman to show you how to do it but you never did turn it up but complained about the lack of hot water in the master shower anyway. But we always take complaints seriously although in the past we have had so few and we acted on yours every time even when it was determined there was not problem. I am sorry you do not want to rent our property again, but perhaps that is a mutually agreeable situation.

Fabulous stay and properly in a great location

The house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 children. Modern with good appliances, great views and pool. Very clean and it really did look like the photos!! The owners were VERY responsive and communicative, with very detailed information about the property. It was a great property for our family and we would definitely return. Fabulous thank you!

We try to make it the kind of place to enjoy for those special holidays but also to enjoy year round. While the house is set up with adults in mind, we hope we are also providing for the kids in the family as well with the card table with its protective cover and chairs for those who want to play games and build things with gooey, sticky stuff as well as have a more kid friendly place to eat. The off season leaves the valley quiet and peaceful; always a parking place to be found, no lines in stores and the pool is swimming temperature thanks to the sun. We too love that early morning sun coming up over the pool and green fairway, bathing the back side of the house in its warm light, then at the end of the day, the magic of the setting sun rendering the far hills painted in pink with the last of the sun’s rays as we sit in the spa. I hope you managed that magic moment. You will always be welcomed back whenever the urge arrises.

Beautiful month vacation in La Quinta!

My husband and I rented this lovely villa for the month of May. We were very pleased with this spacious, clean, well appointed home. The plus for us was the cozy patio and almost new pool. Our 18 month old grandson especially loved the pool sand shelf with the umbrella! Situated on the fairway was always interesting and made for a pretty view with mountains in the background. One day we had visitors on the fairway, 8 Big Horn Sheep, just cruising and eating foliage. Owners were very nice and accommodating to rent from. Everything in the villa works beautifully and there is a comprehensive manual that answered any questions. If we vacation again for a month in La Quinta we will definitely stay in this beautiful villa again!

Lovely Home; Gracious Manager

We had a wonderful week at this lovely home. It is definitely as advertised. The kitchen is fantastic - and made cooking and setting up for a dinner party of 12 (almost) effortless. The home has large open spaces with gracious furnishings and art, and is decorated in a comfortable and modern style. Each bedroom has a TV and its own bathroom, which made having family members with us very easy. There are panoramic views of the golf course from the back of the house, and great views of the mountains from the front of the house. There are furnished patios in front and back, a spa (that can be easily heated)and pool. The house was clean and well-equipped. We also really enjoyed the music that played when the washer, dryer and/or dishwasher cycles completed! And, Peter D’Aprix, the manager, was always responsive and helpful via email with each and every question we had - and those were few, since he had provided a detailed “manual” of each room of the house. We loved our time there (in the house, out on the patios, walking around the golf course and neighborhood - and easily driving into La Quinta Village, Indio and Palm Desert), and we do hope to return and enjoy all the amenities of the house and the hospitality of the D'Aprixs in the near future.

Owner's Response: Dear Royda Thank you for your very gracious and kind review. The house welcomes you back any time, you all were delightful renters and you left the house in excellent condition. We are always trying to add useful elements to the house. By staying here and entertaining here ourselves, we keep finding little things we need to add, like more side plates even for serving five people as we did tonight, far less a dozen! We added a bigger TV just before you arrived so that everyone in the family room can watch from any corner. Useful for those with aging eyes like myself. And your 14 year old Kelpie was clearly exceedingly well behaved. No evidence of his/her stay at all except for his/her blue Kong toy. And you may be interested that in the kitchen, we found the winter sun shone blindingly into the side window during the middle part of the day. I just installed another Venetian blind to cut down on that glare. Just prior to your arrival, in addition to that larger TV in the family room, we also installed a sun blocking roller blind for the family room since that same winter sun shines brightly through that patio door as well as the kitchen window, both south facing. The house and amenities were absolutely perfect and top notch! From the pool / hot tub, to the golf course view, to the communication with the owner, it couldn't have been better. Beautiful Property

Truly enjoyed this lovely home - complete with pool, hot tub and patio with plenty of sun, and shade, for a relaxing stay in the desert. This is located in a great area near golf, activities, shopping and excellent restaurants. The home was gorgeous, as advertised, with new appliances and amenities that made for a most enjoyable and fuss free holiday. The owner was most friendly and always helpful - truly interested in us having a great experience. The 'manuals' for home, TV and appliance operation were first class - very well done! You can come, relax and enjoy a fabulous holiday at this property.
