If you want to immerse yourself in Italian culture, to find the Italy of the olden days, this is the place to do it: quiet, perfect base to explore the Italian Lakes, Breglia is not affected by tourism but at few minutes from the most famous lake places as Bellagio. The village offers beautiful views, green woods for a refreshingly peaceful and restorative stay, good place for keen walkers: from Breglia start numerous hiking for all levels of difficulty. Some routes slide into the woods and reach old lake villages, others rising on mountain above the town, with stunning views.
The tower is in the oldest part of the village, its walls have a thousand years, the facade reveal ancient stone windows, next there was a convent of monks (15th century). Walking through the village you will discover panoramic glympses and picturesque corners, like the old stone fountains.
PARKING: The village is medieval and streets are pedestrian only: a big free public parking is at 80 meters from the tower.
Bar-restaurant, at 100 metres from the tower, where is possible to have breakfast/dinner/lunch; open every day, good food: breakfast service 6€, tourist menu 16€, or menu a la carte.
