Great place awesome neighbors, small Antpile inside the game room that I exterminated.

Overall great trip. Just bring a lot of trash bags. Rent a boat before staying and you don't have water access directly from the house.

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Even though we weren't really close enough to anything but a small pond for the kids to fish in we had a great time. The boat launch where you can fish from is a mile away and such a small area that it got full early and there was no space to fish. The state park for jet skis and kayak rental is about 15 miles away. They took our entrance fee to the park but failed to tell us that the water was too choppy to rent kayaks or jet skis so we paid for nothing. The house was large and well equipped with games, pool table and ping pong table. We made smores and roasted hot dogs in the fire pit and played wii with the kids. Sure we would of loved to do some more outdoor activities but the house was comfortable, well stocked and felt like home. that was really all we needed to spend time together as a family and enjoy each others company. We took the kids to the little nearby pond and even our 5 year old caught plenty of fish so it was a win win situation all around. Loved the house and hope we can stay there again on future trips!

Great house

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our friend weekend getaway.

Pros:

- Great view of the lake right across the street

- Check in process was easy

- House was just as described, lots of sleeping space!

- The game room was a nice addition

- Fully stocked kitchen utensils for meal preparation

Cons:

- We had to purchase an entire $50 propane tank to grill once

- A few small wasp nests on the porch area, but we didn't have any major issues

- The parking situation was sort of an inconvenience that was not noted before arrival (there are only 3 cars allowed in the house driveway at a time)

Overall, I would rent this house again. Susan was a very helpful and communicative owner and flexible with check in time.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect place for our family weekend. The property is well maintained. The neighborhood is peaceful with nice folks.

The only drawback (and its vey minimal) is no direct access to the water.

Nice owners who are very prompt in answering questions.

Id recommend their home to anyone. :)

Spacious Lake Livingston home with a fantastic view

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this home for three nights with seven other fishermen from my bass club and we all had a wonderful stay. The kitchen/living room on the second floor was the focal point for our group because we shared our evening meals there, watched football, and shared our daily fishing activities with each other. The kitchen had every appliance we needed for meal preparation, plenty of cookware and dishes for our group. The large screen television was very popular and also visible from the kitchen table. The various sleeping accommodations met every need including one person who needed a recliner for sleeping. Because we were participating in a bass tournament on Lake Livingston, we found the nearby public boat ramp very convenient. The second refrigerator on the first floor provided plenty of convenience for storing ice and cold drinks that were needed each day. We had four vehicles and four boats so we had to use the owner's nearby property for parking several of our vehicles/boats. We were prepared for charging batteries and we brought plenty of extension cord to accomplish this daily task. This beautiful lake home made our trip so much more enjoyable than it would have been had we stayed in a motel. We had so much more space, easy access to the lake, and a great place to share meals and our fishing stories.

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed the retreat very much even though it rained the three days we were there. It was comfortable and relaxing. Everything we needed was available. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood when it wasn't raining, and playing ping pong or pool in the game room. It is a good place to visit if you want to getaway for a peaceful vacation.
