This condo offers breathtaking ocean views and is located on the beach, where you can swim and snorkel right out front, or walk for miles. The 952-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit has a remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, and new living room furniture. It includes a washer/dryer and everything you need for a vacation in paradise. The Kana'i A Nalu complex includes a swimming pool. It is located in Ma'alaea Bay, which is in the south/central area of Maui, next to the aquarium and the harbor where popular excursions, such as scuba diving and fishing trips, start. A new tile shower has been installed in the master bathroom and the second bathroom includes a new tub/shower and tile work.

The new living room furniture includes a queen-sized sofa bed, so the unit sleeps six comfortably!

Owners Randy Seelye and Jeri (Seelye) Duke. I am a retired journalist who loves Maui, and especially playing golf on Maui. In the winter you'll find me on the ski slopes. I own the condo with my sister, who just retired from banking. I live in Santa Rosa, California, and my sister lives in Clinton, Tennessee.

Why Randy Seelye chose Central Maui

My parents enjoyed this location since the 1970s, first owning another condo on the same street. I now own this property along with my sister. This is the best spot on the island! Kana'i A Nalu condos are on the beach, off the beaten tourist locations, yet in the middle of the island and close to all attractions.

What makes this condo unique

Location, location, location. Because we are one of the few spots on Maui actually located on the beach; you can relax in the ocean without having to drive and battle island crowds and traffic. You can walk miles on the sand toward Kihei unfettered by development of any kind ... the beach is along federally protected turtle and bird sanctuaries.

Spacious condo that was comfortable with easy beach access.

The kitchen is well equipped and modern allowing us to live and relax comfortably. We made use of some of the beach toys that are in the closet, and it was nice not to have to rent or buy items we didn't really want to keep or bring with us. The grounds are well kept and the view is exactly as pictured. In fact, I found that I could go to the Maui Aquarium website and click on their webcam of the beach from where ever I was on the island, and see exactly what was happening in front of our complex. The Aquarium is a couple of blocks west. Here's the link: https://www.mauioceancenter.com/live/ We did have a loud party wake us in the middle of our second night and I let Randy know. He got to the bottom of this right away and explained this is a very rare occurrence. Otherwise, the only sounds we heard were the waves breaking, and a few hours each weekday of hammering to loosen the tiles around the BBQ area, which were being replaced. I would have liked to know that this work was scheduled during our stay, so at least I could take that into consideration when booking. Overall, our stay was pleasant and the property is perfect for those who don't want to be in the daily rush if Kihei or Lahaina.

Excellent

The condo came with everything we needed, snorkelling gear, cooler, washer/dryer. It was clean and well looked after. It is an older condo but it met all our needs and we would recommend it. Randy was great to deal with and answered all our questions! The view was spectacular, the grounds and beach were impressive! It is located central to everything and was a great spot to stay as you were in the middle of everything. We can't wait to go back!

In May and June (2016) we undergo renovations: Will be gutting the kitchen and installing new cabinets, appliances and granite countertop. We will be putting in a new tile shower in the master bathroom and new bathtub and tilework in the second bathroom. I will post photos on this site! --Randy

Comfortable Condo with Great View

We spent a very relaxing and enjoyable week in this condo on Maalaea Bay. We liked the location as Maalaea Bay affords easy access to both the Kihei area and west Maui and is not too far from the airport (which is very helpful when you arrive late at night). We also enjoyed the lovely view from the lanai, as well as hearing the waves at night from the bedroom. It is a great spot for an early morning walk on the beach. Parking is convenient and the building is quiet (we never heard any noise from the neighbours). The only noise comes from happy families playing in the pool. As for the condo, it was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well equipped. The owner, Randy, was very helpful and all directions and instructions were clear and accurate. We would be very happy to stay here again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo location was perfect! Easy access to everything. There were NO crowds of people. It was quiet and had stunning views and amazing beach! Our first time in Maui was a success thanks to Randy & Ma'aleaha!
