Perfect for our Kona vacation!
This condo was just perfect for our short stay. The location could not have been better. It was clean and quiet. The bed was super comfy!

Good location- Steps form the waterfront
The unit is very clean and cozy. Noisy neighbors and no parking issues were our only complaints. Steps from the water walkway of Kona. Good spots for sunsets! Base camp perfect for active couples and individuals. Visit the Poke Shake and Annie's Burgers upland- South a bit. We dinned in town, but out of town smaller sites were the delight of the trip.
Nice place to stay if you want to be downtown.
Very comfortable and within walking distance to lots of places. Took day trips and returned. Didn't really get time to enjoy the pool but it always had people at it having fun. Parking was a big challenge. We will come back here again.
Lovely and comfortable
We spent 2 nights in this condo to end our Hawaiian adventure and it was more than hoped for. Although it is less than 1 block from a very busy and active road it is impossible to know that. Very quiet and serene even on the lanai. There is vegetation surrounding the conco that adds coolness and a good vibe. Inside the furnishings are new and tasteful. Comfortable seating, pretty of room for 2, a well furnished kitchen and good bed all added to our positive experience. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
It was only a block to shops, restaurants, historical sites, the pounding surf and beautiful sunsets. We more than got our money's worth.
Not worth the price!
Doesn't look like the pictures posted AT ALL!!! It also didn't feel clean and we don't think the sheets were washed - it had a smell. The couch also felt a bit dirty, so I laid a towel down before sitting on it. The only pros were that it was walking distance to downtown and the guy at the front desk was nice.
Awesome condo - close to everything!
I had done some checking on condos at the Kona Islander before booking, and you have to know what unit you are getting before booking - just don't blindly book a room through trip advisor. Apparently, there can be some pretty nasty surprises. Most of the condos are privately owned, and it's up to the owners to keep them clean and in good condition. There is a lot of refurbishing of units going on, so maybe some of the nasty surprises are being taken care of. This was unit 236 and the pictures looked great on line, and it was just as wonderful as the pictures showed. It clearly showed pride of ownership. It was clean, modern, comfy, and had so many little touches that really made the trip perfect. Lots of towels, even beach towels, a small cooler, shampoo, soap, body wash, cleaning supplies, laundry soap, and a great assortment of kitchen utensils, dishes, glasses and mugs, cookware and some condiments. There was a full size fridge with freezer, a toaster oven, a microwave oven, coffee pot, electric fry pan, rice cooker, so much that I forgot some things. There is a nice flat screen TV, books to read if that's your thing, an air conditioner, and a ceiling fan over the bed and also one in the bathroom along with a bathroom vent that actually works great! There are two gas barbecues down by the pool that are available for guests, and a laundry room on the property, wash and dry are $1.50 each. The only down side to this condo is that it's on the second floor, and there is no elevator, so if you have trouble climbing stairs you might have some difficulty. The other thing is lack of parking. There are about 150 units in the complex and maybe 50 parking spaces and it's all first come, first served - no assigned parking. If you are not back by 8pm, you might have to park on the street. But other than that, I can't say enough wonderful things about this condo. I was very pleased with it, and plan to book it again on future trips. It's so close to everything, almost next door to the farmers market, it's the prefect location.
