Midwest Family - 3 teen boys
We planned a 5-day weekend, to do some spring skiing in Park City area.
Overall experience was a strong 'good' with this property.
Location was very central to both Deer Valley and Park City skiing. Were able to take the free city bus (came by every 15min) to Park City skiing, and walked across the street to the Deer Valley skiing (each were convenient, and avoided having to drive and find parking/etc). Also, used bus to travel to town/shopping/dinner easily enough.
Accommodations were (overall) 'good.' Opportunities for improvement: comfort of master bedroom mattress, and other minor details (dresser drawers did not slide, glasses with hard water film, and other small maintenance details of typical condo rentals).
Other than that, all else was sufficient (size of condo, necessary amenities, clean, and nice place). This is a very solid option, and avoids the very high end price of most other resort alternatives.
If you have a car, the underground parking garage was very convenient and nice (we did not need/use it, though).
Our family/boys really enjoyed the skiing during the days, and this place provided a nice hot tub after a long day on the slopes, and a good place to make dinner, and watch a movie (or fire) to relax, and recharge for the next day.
Cozy spacious condo with all the necessary amenities. Further from lift then expected but Snow Park
Has complimentary ski storage so no need to walk with skis
Great location, walk to slopes!
We had a great time on our recent trip to DV. Comstock lodge is very convenient to SnowPark Lodge, we made the 5 minute walk with our 5 year old no problem! The condo was very cozy although dated. We don't spend much time inside so it didn't bother us too much. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable and the dish ware showed its age. I would invest in some new bedding and dishes/glasses and the place would be near perfect!
Great unit in great location
Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) stayed at Comstock 204 last week for our spring break ski trip. The unit is clean, comfortable, and has all of the amenities you need (clean bedding, fresh towels, well stocked kitchen cookwear and some basics like oil, salt, pepper). It has a rustic log cabin feel to the unit and it is very cozy. The bathrooms are a bit outdated, but they are spotless and the showers work great. The hot tub and fireplace were great! The complex is a very short walk (about 3 min) to snow park lodge and the St. Regis. If we drove to Deer Valley we would have had to park farther away than the unit, it is that close! The heated garage and elevators were great too. My only complaint is that the parking spot assigned to the unit is on the end and is a bit tricky to get into with a large SUV. However, I know there were extra unmarked empty spots in the garage so that might be an option. We booked through Alpine Ski Rentals and the check-in/check-out process took about 1-2 minutes. They also had a cleaning crew come in during the week to change out towels, change sheets, and clean he unit. Highly recommend this property. It is a great value compared to other properties we have stayed in and the location can't be beat.
