Mountain Thunder Lodge is a Luxurious and Elegant Retreat, which is ideally located in a quiet forest in Breckenridge. The amenities include: an exercise facility, an outdoor heated pool, hot tubs and wireless internet access. The location is perfect as it is only 1 block to Main Street or use the 24/7 At Your Service Shuttle provided by Mountain Thunder to take you to any destination within Breckenridge. While staying in this unit, you have access to all the amenities at One Ski Hill which include: an indoor swimming pool, a bowling alley, and a private media room.

This beautiful townhouse is Ski-In/Gondola-Out with the ski trail right behind the unit. This 2nd story Townhouse features 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with vaulted ceilings throughout. This beautiful unit has just been upgraded with wood tile flooring and new carpet in the bedrooms and all new paint throughout. The Master Suite features a king bed, office desk and chair, and an ensuite that has double sinks, and a tub with a separate shower. The 2nd bedroom features a bunk bed with a queen on the bottom and a full bed on top. This bedroom has direct access to the 2nd bathroom which has a full tub and shower combo. There are 3 flat screen TVs in the townhouse with a BluRay DVD player in the 2nd bedroom and living room. It has beautiful views of the ski trail right behind the property!!! There is also a washer and dryer in the unit. It also has an attached private heated garage big enough for a full-size SUV (suburban) with ski racks and boot dryers.

This unit backs directly up to the woods which is fabulous for seeing nature at its best. It is a peaceful quiet retreat and we often see deer on the trails behind the property.

Beautiful, Walkable, Pricey; Housekeeping Required

This is a beautiful unit in wonderful shape. We literally left the car in the garage our entire visit - Main Street is easily walkable from the unit. Beds are OK; pillows leave a bit to be desired. Better for parents and 2-4 kids than for a group of adults. The master suite is a nicer experience than the kids' room. Beware of added charges. The per-night rate is not "almost all" this will cost. The total was quite surprising, and we didn't get a breakdown of what all was included until we had paid. It doesn't make sense to me that as a renter I pay the owner's listing fee on vrbo. The cleaning fee is also steep, and for that amount I was rather surprised we were instructed to strip the beds, turn the thermostats down, take out the trash, etc. There's quite a bit of housekeeping the guests must do before checking out by 10a. Fine, except we're paying enough for someone else to do all that. In this price range, it just doesn't seem appropiate. The agreement the renter has to sign is also pretty extensive and one-sided. Probably more worth it during ski season, as there is a ski run right behind the building. In shoulder season, I certainly wouldn't pay for this one again.

Owner's Response: It is a beautiful unit with a close walk to town, and we pride ourselves in keeping it in the best condition. This means we want the best cleaning company we can get. The cleaning fee is the same for a 3 day stay or a week-long stay. We request trash to be taken out in order to keep the townhouse smelling fresh and clean. We also update items within the unit during the off-season, including replacing pillows. We have pictures of our townhouse that indicate furniture and room set-up. All fees for our rental are listed prior to bookings. We gladly respond to any questions regarding fees, or we will be happy to send a quote to anyone prior to booking. A VRBO fee is a new fee this year being charged on ALL bookings. This fee is automatically determined by VRBO, and kept by VRBO. In order to protect our home, we do request all renters sign a Rental Agreement and if requested we can send it to renters prior to booking and answer any questions they may have.

Comfortable, nicely furnished and very convenient

Our family of four enjoyed our stay in this lovely townhouse. It's very spacious compared to ski in rentals we've stayed in before, and everything was very nicely appointed. Not only that, it's extremely convenient to everything and is within walking distance to the Gondola and town. If you don't feel like walking, there's a very helpful free shuttle service that will pick you up from the front door. We would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful townhouse

The townhouse is beautifully decorated and quite spacious. It fit our three children perfectly. It's also very clean. It's also right next to town and the gondola. so we could walk to almost anything we needed. We had a great time!
