Why Sodus Bay Management -Meg/Tim Orbaker chose New York

We have two properties next to each other. They are both very unique. Blue Moon has a large wrap around deck that allows you to experience the climate on the bay or the lake! Great sunsets are seen from here. The cottage is cozy and bright with an updated bathroom.

Slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

My family came here for a summer vacation and had an absolutely wonderful time. This place has it all! One side of the cottage is like being waterfront on the ocean and the other side is like being in a cottage on the bay! We had family visit us often and they all loved it. You will spend most of your time on the huge wrap around porch taking in all the beauty that surrounds you. I highly recommend renting the pontoon boat, because you will want to be out on the water all the time. You can travel to Sodus Point in a flash and enjoy there restaurants there or in our case we visited other family that stayed on that side. There is fishing, water sports and all kinds of fun to be had. Tim and Meg were exceptional hosts and went above and beyond making us feel welcomed and very well taken care of. We cannot wait to do this again next year! Memories will be tattooed on our hearts forever!

Fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

Just spent 5 days here and had a fantastic stay. The cottage is exactly as described with views that are 2nd to none. We had a variety of family come to spend the weekend and some for just the day and they all agreed it was a perfect location. The wrap around deck is awesome. The breeze thru the cottage, whether from the lake or bay, made it feel like air conditioning was on..which was perfect for the hot weather. Tim and Meg are great hosts and super helpful from the moment they meet you at the dock.. You won't be disappointed if you select this location!!

Great views, great people, great vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a blast!!!! The house was clean and accommodated five adults and three children nicely. The location is hard to beat, having the best of both worlds with the lake on one side and the bay on the other. We all enjoyed falling to sleep to the sound of the waves, and taking the boat to the sand bar as well as fishing off the private dock. Tim and Meg are lovely people to deal with and made us feel right at home. Bring water shoes the beach is gravel for about 5-8 feet then just pure sand. Be prepared for the stunning sunsets and breathtaking Photo ops as well. Things don't always go as planned and we had a couple cases of Murphy's Law while on the trip but Tim and Meg were right there to accommodate our needs and make things right, and that's the best part of renting this property. You are sure to get stand up people who care about you experience! I hope to be back there soon!!!!

Where do you live?

Amazing, unique one-of-a kind vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Meg and TIm for a great week, 2 years in a row at your picturesque cottages! We love bringing our boat there and enjoying everything you have to offer... beaches, docks, bay and lake... sunsets, beach bonfires, tubes, fishing, the sandbar, chimney cliffs... the list could go on... I love the hospitality of your close proximity and your 'extra' touches. We loved this cottage, and hope to stay again next year! We love the wrap around porch, the awesome views from all rooms, great beds, big kitchen, filtered water, cozy living room, nice size bathroom and lots of outdoor furniture. Its the perfect spot to bring our boat to every year! Lucy, our puppy, also had an amazing week! :)

Even though there is lots to do in the area, be prepared to never want to leave this cottage. Tensions melt away as relaxation takes over. Such a peaceful, refreshing, restorative place! We never missed being on the deck for every sunrise and sunset. Both are beautiful but the sunsets are breathtaking. Meg and Tim are warm and friendly, and very helpful. They are great hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. It was tough to leave! We all enjoyed this unique and special place, and we all want to come back.

You will never want to leave this slice of paradise ...

Pictures do not do this place justice ... it will take your breath away! We had our annual MacDougall family vacation here in July and are already planning our vacation here for next year! Tim and Meg (owners) are amazingly helpful and informative, and close by (but very respective of your privacy). Swim on the bay side or lake side, fish, boat, walk the beach, search for sea glass, laze in the shade on the wrap around deck, play ladderball or cornhole, and end your day with a breathtaking sunset (I think we had more pictures of sunsets than we did of the kids!) ... can you tell our family lived outdoors? Do not be deterred by the boat only access - marina is an easy 5 minutes away. We hosted visitors every day and never had a problem getting folks back and forth. Upgrade to the pontoon, it is well worth it. Words cannot adequately describe the vibe of this place, it is magical. Our family's hearts were heavy when we left, we made such amazing memories here with new friends and old - and we will DEFINITELY be back!!! Thank you Tim and Meg for a fabulous time!
