In one sentence nothing worked. On the sleeping level the air conditioning did not work in the 2 back bedrooms . All the beds felt like they were 25 years old. On the living level most of the light switch knobs were missing. The micro wave didn't work. On the living level the stove had only a couple burners that worked and all the utensils looked burnt and melted; the pots had the big missing spots of teflon. Luckily we only used this as sleeping quarters. If camping out is your thing just bring your own kitchen.
Hello. We have an excellent property manager who lives there locally, available to help, just a call away. Please call her right away for any issues or concerns. She can give instructions on how to operate the appliances or light fixtures, some are 3-ways. Most knobs are to be pushed, then turned, to control the dimness, or speed of the fans. Others have a switch and sliding bar for controlling features. These are labeled as to which switch operates which fixture. All work. All the controls on the jen-air cooktop/griddle work. They take a bit to achieve maximum heat. We have a variety of cookware, including a very large stainless steel stock pot for shrimp boils, ss. fish fryer pans (suitable for the outside fish fryer grill), ss. pans for cooking on the BarBQ grill, and other types of cooktop skillets, and sauce pans. The countertop microwave is new, works perfectly (right of sink). The appliance in the wall cabinet in an oven. It has a rack and heating element. The A/C is central air, and circulates throughout the venting in each room simultaneously. There is another wall room A/C in the uppermost level for additional comfort. The Florida Keys have a wealth of exciting and memorable adventures to explode and enjoy. Great cuisine, water activities, people and sites to visit, something for everyone! It is our wish that all come to love the keys as we do, as we have had some of our best memories there!
Beautiful view from upper deck of house!
The house needs some tender loving care from the owners, but the view from the top deck is spectacular. The neighbor next door is an amazing person .
Great home for family vacay
The house was perfect for our family of 8. Each couple had a bedroom downstairs & then our 2 boys comfortably enjoyed the upstairs (pull out sofa) with the half bath to use when needed. We loved having the washer & dryer to keep up with all the laundry. The views of the water & sunset were amazing! Being so close to Publix & Kmart & the public marina was also a plus! Katie, the property manager was always so nice and helpful. Always available to answer all of our questions. Our absolute only complaint would be the grouchy man that claims that the ocean front area is “private property” and had an issue with my children being down there to enjoy the water and fish. It wasn’t that big of a deal in the grand scheme of everything but if anything could be changed it definitely would be him!
We loved our stay!
Much better than a hotel room !
Even though just my husband and I, the space worked really well (separate living space from bedrooms). A gate blocked the stairs to keep our dog from going downstairs, even though I am sure it is meant for kids. On the surface it was clean. For Florida it was bug/critter free! A major issue was you could not lock most of the sliding glass doors, including the main entry from the inside. Had to find a piece of wood to secure the door. Several of the others were like that too. I think most small things one would need were supplied. However, they want you to leave clean dishes yet there was no dish detergent! Katie Ullrich (property manager?) was easy to work with and was very prompt on her communications. Overall, a nice place to stay.
Each sliding door was a button to lock them from within , slide it either up or down. In addition, a wooden rod sits within each set to provide an additional option to lock if wanted.
Great location in the Middle Keys
Stayed on an all guys fishing / lobstering trip. The location is great. The house has nice unobstructed sunset views. We used the slip that is included at the local marina an 1/4 mile down the road. Easy in and out to the gulf. The house is all knotty pine on the interior with a rustic /beach decor. Nothing fancy, but perfect for what we were looking to do.
No water access as led to believe.
The house is great but the neighbors do not like that it gets rented out. The access to the water is restricted by them. If you are not interested in being on the water then it is great.
