We highly recommended this spectacular circa 1800's home. The room is spacious , clean with a fridge, coffee maker and fire place and the area is safe and family oriented. The towels smell so good what's the secret Alex? Lol....Alex is just a pleasure to deal with and accommodating . We will definitely come back to visit your beautiful city and stay at your lovely home. The Durbin's from Florida.

Lovely place, great location

  • 5 of 5

This is a very comfortable place for two people who want to see New Orleans. We like the location very much. Nestled among the grand old houses of the Garden District (it's in one, too) it's a great base of operations. The #11 bus runs down Magazine Street and will get you to the French Quarter in about 10 minutes. Or you can walk over to St. Charles and take the streetcar. There are lots of shops and restaurants in both directions on Magazine.

The unit has a very comfy bed, an armoire and chest of drawers for clothes, and a nice sized couch. The kitchen set up is fine for a cold breakfast and fixing a sandwich. There's a small breakfast table, or you can sip your coffee on the outside deck.

Alex is a great host and was able to be flexible on our arrival and departure times. (We're probably in the off season, so he might not always be able to do that.)

Be aware that there is a long flight of stairs up to the unit, so if you have mobility issues, this may not be the place for you.

I'd certainly stay here again the next time I'm in New Orleans!

So Worth It.

Loved this place, and would absolutely stay here again. Excellent location in a beautiful neighborhood. Tracey's, the local watering hole, is two structures away, and has a raw bar and very good po'boys. There's very easy access to/from downtown on the #11 bus. There are bars, cafes, and eateries aplenty within easy walking distance. On top of it all, Alex is an excellent host
