Sunset Peak provided my family and I a chance to bond and reconnect. The property is massive and great for group gatherings but also affords privacy with a main house and independent cabinas. Exceeded my expectations as the ocean view from the pool area is stunning.
The view from Sunset Peak is tremendous! The grounds and outdoor living areas are wonderful and are where the favorite parts of our vacation were spent. Especially when the monkeys came to visit and the beautiful sunsets! Jon was so helpful with making reservations and giving recommendations. Olen, the chief made many wonderful meals. I appreciated not having to cook or clean and experiencing authentic foods!
Lovely place, we enjoyed our stay. Cook was excellent view was excellent.
Sunset Peak is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in. The view from the pool is something you would see in a magazine. The service and hospitality from the staff was just amazing. We were treated like family from the beginning. I would only stay here when I return to Nosara there is no other place that could compare. The resort was quaint, clean and very roomy. Can't wait to return!
Where do I begin... We were immediately enchanted as soon as we arrived at Sunset Peak. The beauty of this place is very difficult to describe or compare to anything else. It is visually mesmerizing...from the never-ending, breathtaking views of the surrounding areas and ocean, to the very detail inside and outside of each one of the houses.... Every bedroom is spacious, decorated beautifully and very cozy/comfortable. The living area is super cool, colorful, with tons of room for people to enjoy either being in their own space or to have a good time with company. The kitchen is really fun to be in, it is equipped with everything a person needs to cook, clean, etc. The bathrooms are just beautiful, decorated with gorgeous tile, fun waterfall showers and lots of space. The pool area is incredible and my kids used it as soon as they would wake up, and again until it was time for bed. The pool area is clean and absolutely beautiful, surrounded with gardens full of colorful various plants, and flowers attracting all kinds of birds, butterflies, and other beautiful creatures. The seating area outdoors is crafted to perfection, comfortable and it has plenty of interesting spots for people to sit/lay and just observe the amazing nature of this location. It is seriously the most amazing place we have ever seen, with possibly the most beautiful vistas you can imagine. The way the property is situated, there is no obstruction to enjoy an endless panorama and spectacular, ever-changing views. The beach is literary down the mountain, just a few minutes drive, maybe 5 minutes. The beaches around are amazing, they each have their own uniqueness and fabulous restaurants, or sodas to eat at. We really enjoyed La Luna, and we ate breakfast at The Coffee House/True Love each morning. The town has so much to offer, and the Harmony Hotel, and The Living Hotel had some great eating options as well, and they are open to non-guests. We really recommend some of the Sodas (below Restaurant status eateries), located all around to enjoy some local food. Last but not least, the owners of the rental are some of the most amazing people we had the privilege to work with and we love them. The manager and the hired staff of the house are very professional, trustworthy, and went out of their way to always make sure we were good at all times, and well taken care of. I will recommend this rental to everyone I know, and we look forward to visiting there again, very, very soon. Thank you!
Sunset Peak is one of the best places in Nosara. It sits up high up on a hill with beautiful panoramic views of the Pacific, yet is a five minute drive to the beach. The house is nicely appointed, but what really sets this place apart is the large pool and outside living areas. We stayed there with another family (4 adults, 4 kids 10-16yrs old), but could have easily had a third family join us. It is very private and the gentle breeze keeps things a little more comfortable than the beach locations. Jon, the property manager, was a huge help and made this vacation very easy. Jon recommended a cook, Olen, who turned out to be wonderful. She made all, but one of our dinners as well as a breakfast. Nosara is great place to vacation and the locals are very friendly. We would love to return someday and Sunset Peak would be our first choice.
We rented Sunset Peak with 2 other families. It accommodated 13 (6 adults, 6 teenagers and 1 child) very well. The pool area and outdoor living area is what makes this porperty so special. There is a very large pool with an amazing patio area surrounding the pool. The ocean views are spectacular!!!!!!! We took advantage of Olen, the cook. She made us lovely breakfasts and dinners. Jon (property manager) is extremely helpful. He booked restaurants and zip lining for us.
Overall a fantastic place to stay and enjoy the beautiful area of Nosara and Playa Guiones. Can't wait to get back there soon!!!!!!!!!
A two acre private property perched perfectly atop the peak of the Las Huacas hillside. This location provides Sunset Peak with a certain seclusion and breathtaking view, yet also sets it just a stones throw from the action and beaches of Guiones. The property consists of a spacious, 3 bedroom & 2 bathroom main house with connected open-air rancho leading out to an extra large swimming pool surrounded by Bali style daybeds. In front of this sits an outdoor bar and covered patio where guests can enjoy the unbelievable view of the Pacific Ocean and jungle coastline. Below this are a double and single cabina and plenty of lush garden areas to explore. Hear the waves of the ocean and see the monkeys swinging in the treetops, without ever having to leave your lounge chair.
Whether you are looking for action or to wind down and relax, there is plenty to choose from in town. There are many bars and restaurants, serving up Costa Rican, American, Spanish, Mexican and Japanese cuisine. There are horseback tours, ziplining, quad rentals and surfing for the adventurous at heart. For those who want a slower pace, there are plenty of yoga studios, spas, juice bars, beautiful beaches to lay out on, and gorgeous sunsets to end the day.
Traveling as a family? There is mini golf and ice cream/gelato to keep the kiddies happy!
Whatever your interests are, Nosara has something to please everyone.
