Why Pam Bauer chose Sequoia, Kings Canyon

We enjoyed coming to Sequoia Nat'l Park with our family, and while staying in the area, this house became available for purchase. WE love getting away from the big city and relaxing in a town that doesn't have any stop lights. People are friendly, the pace is slower, and you get a chance to truly unwind.

What makes this house unique

This property is so close to the park.

there are wonderful amenities nearby. Enjoy a glass of wine on the porch at the end of a day. There are many trails to hike inside the park and also on the BLM land that surrounds Three Rivers.

Sierra House was awesome!!

  • 5 of 5

I can't sing the praises of Sierra House enough. My husband, I and our grand daughters, 6 & 8, spent four nights there 8/2016. The girls referred to it as "home". The furnishings are both stylish and sturdy with plenty of seating. The kitchen is very well equipped. The two bathrooms had an abundance of towels with plenty of rods and hooks to hang them up. The beds were extremely comfortable. Best of all, is being located 5 minutes from the park entrance, which made getting there quick and being able to stop at the end of the day to shower before heading into town for dinner. We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Sequoia!!

Sierra House is a lovely, comfortable home with plenty of room for a large group.

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 7 enjoyed staying at Sierra house. The beds were very comfortable, the dining table large enough for games and meals, and the TV seating plentiful. The artwork and patchwork quilts added to the charm. It was a great "base camp" for our daily visits to Sequoia and Kings Canyon.

Very nice stay

  • 5 of 5

The house is large, clean, the AC works well (in early August this is really important!), the mattresses comfortable, the inside decor is very pleasant, with comfortable seating, and nicely appointed layout. Internet worked fine (if you start out with low expectations you will be pleasantly surprised!). From the outside, the house doesn't look particularly nice, but as soon as you get inside you really appreciate it. It is very close to the Sequoia park entrance, and for activities we enjoyed the sequoias and meadows, playing in the river/stream less than a mile into the park (while not recommended in spring/winter, it was my favorite memory, as the water was cold but not too cold, current pretty mild, and still enough water to have some deep enough holes to swim in, and of course clambering on rocks and boulders!). 10-year old daughter loved the horseback riding in the park (staff is wonderful), Crystal Cave is neat as well! The park was not very crowded, despite it being the peak of the season, and though Three Rivers was in 100 degree weather for a few days, the park was always tolerable/nice, due to the quick altitude climb.

Beautiful, Peaceful and well Kept

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 10 people total stay in this house... we all had so much fun being able to stay in one place together. There were plenty of towels, blankets and beds for everyone to be comfortable. The house is shaded by trees and has the most beautiful sliding glass doors that open up to a nice view. Three Rivers is so special and staying in this house exceeded our expectations and made our trip that much better! The owners and manager were so lovely and truly wanted to ensure we had a positive time in their house.Having a little market at the end of the driveway was so helpful also! Can't wait for next year!

Great location for visiting the park

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to stay outside but close to the park and this fit the bill. It was only a 5 minute drive to the park entrance with the shop right next store conveniently located to get a quick bite to eat. We didn't spend much time there during the day, but if you have never been to Three Rivers it can get quite hot during the day. When we were there the AC worked perfectly, and there was a nice big deck to sit on at night after it cools off. For being right off the main highway it was not noisy on the inside.

Recommend and would stay there again
