Lovely Stay in Provence
Sandrine was very helpful, the property has a lot of charm, situated a short drive from the beautiful village of Rians. Some of the outdoor furniture is a little tired however inside the house is well kept.
Special mention goes to the pool, it's probably the best pool we've had with a holiday home, it has a metre deep ledge all around the edge of the pool so young kids can explore more than just the shallow end. Lovely temperature too.
Wonderful vacation in the south of France
Beautiful and comfortable villa, with everything you need; lots of things to keep the kids entertained. The pool is of a nice size. Very picturesque and romantic setting, with a view of the mountains from a window. We loved Rians: walking to the boulangerie in the morning, checking out the beautiful church up on a hill. This villa was a good base for day trips to Cassis, Le Gorge de Verdon, etc. Sandrine was wonderful to deal with. Brought us baguettes on our first morning in the villa. We’re already thinking about coming back.
The perfect holiday
We were a group of five adults and we stayed for two weeks. The property was clean and well equipped and Sandrine responded very quickly both before and during the holiday if we had any queries. The house was a great base to explore Provence (we visited Aix, Avignon, Arles, Bonnieux, Pont du Gard and Cassis) and we visited one nearby vineyard (Chateau Vignelaure) and did a tasting - highly recommended. We also spent days just relaxing at the house and by the lovely pool. Table tennis and badminton were also good fun. I would recommend Villa Sarette!
Heatwave in Provence
We traveled as a family of 6, 4 adults and 2 kids to Rian during the heatwave hitting southern Europe. 35+ most days. We really enjoedy our stay and Sandrine was a fantastic hostess. While having some difficult with a hire car Sandrine allowed me to use the phone in the house to call Avis. Every couple of days Sebastian who lived close by called to check the pool was in perfect order. Sandrine also visited and was always and the end of the phone to answer any questions. The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived and it feels more like a home that a rental. It is a short walk to pretty village of Rians and a great base for touring the region
Perfect for families
A family of five, we stayed for two weeks in the house in Rians and could not have had a better time.
The house is well equipped and the large garden and pool area were perfect for the kids. We spent most days going on trips to nearby towns and villages such as Aix, St Maximin and Cassis and finishing with a dip in the pool and dinner in the outdoor seating area.
Sandrine is a great and attentive hostess, who provided tips on where to go visit and ensured we were very comfortable when we arrived by showing how everything worked in the house.
We would definitely consider going back and will recommend the house to our friends.
Charming, large home in cute village
This is a beautiful house in a typical Provence village within easy driving distance to Aix-en-Provence and other Provencal centres. We only stayed three nights but could easily have stayed longer. It was large enough to cater for two adults and five children in comfort.
Despite the heat the house stayed cool and the pool was a perfect spot in the heat of the day. In the evening we dined in the outdoor dining area overlooking the spacious front garden. A garden where our children spent a lot of time playing badminton and eating cherries.
We were expecting nice based on the ad but what we found exceeded expectations. It had everything promised and more. It was very well maintained and absolutely spotless. Sandrine is lovely and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed.
I would recommend this home to everyone. It was a perfect place to return to each evening after exploring the South of France. Given the opportunity I would return in an instant.
All of the major Provence attractions are an hour or two drive away, from Avignon and Arles to Aix-en-Provence and Salon-de-Provence and Marseilles. Rians is lovely too, a small village seemingly unchanged for hundreds of years with bustling cafes and bistros filled with friendly locals. The streets are very narrow though so be careful if you have a large car and definitely have a good GPS.
All in all the house enhanced what was already a great holiday.
