Great location in South Palm Desert, just off the scenic 'Pines to Palms Highway.' A great getaway from those harsh winters and everyday stress! The complex has abundant citrus trees for fresh-squeezed morning OJ or grapefruit juice. Hiking, biking, swimming and tennis are just out the door, and golf is a quick car ride away. And with El Paseo Drive, multiple grocery stores & restaurants, and a Westfield Shopping Center just a short hop away, you will not have to trade in convenience for relaxation. Truly the best of both worlds!
Married in nearby Rancho Mirage, we have been visiting the desert area every chance we get for many years. We love the immediate relaxation that only this warm desert air can provide. After falling in love with the South Palm Desert area in particular, we decided to make it our "home away from home." We hope you'll enjoy the area as much as we do!
Andi Brockwell purchased this condo in 2014
I had a great time staying here. It's a great quiet location. Very well kept townhouse. The pools were also great, surrounded by many citrus trees.
The listing was very accurate, the property was spotlessly clean, and the amenities were great. The location was perfect for us, and we enjoyed using the onsite pools and tennis courts almost everyday. There is great hiking nearby, parks for kids (Ironwood park is just 2 minutes away, the civic center is amazing as well), and shopping for adults. Plus the views are beautiful all around, especially in the evenings. We have a small family of four (with two young daughters), and they really appreciated the onsite toys and children books. My wife and I enjoyed the nice TV's with DVR's (we fell in love with Seinfeld all over again during our stay), the well equipped kitchen, and comfy sofas. The nearby restaurant "Clementine" is my new favorite, their "Jack's breakfast" (ground beef and eggs with onions and mushrooms) was amazing and definitely worth a trip. Honestly the property is literally nicer than our house in San Diego, and it was a little tough to leave after our extended stay. The owner's were very kind, and always quick to respond. I would definitely stay here again, in fact I'm sure I will. If I were you I'd look no further and book now, you won't regret it.
We returned home after a month of staying at this South Palm Desert condo. The property was exactly as described; clean, well-maintained, adequately furnished and well provisioned. Everything was provided from towels and linens to tennis rackets and balls. Andi and her husband were in contact with us prior to our arrival, at our arrival, and during our stay, quickly answering questions that we had and ensuring everything was satisfactory. The grounds are well maintained and people who used the pools were very friendly. Two good size heated pools were very close by as was one smaller non heated pool. El Paseo, Westfield Mall, College of the Desert, hiking trails; all were within a very short drive. The weather was great and a welcome relief from a cold Canadian winter!
The location was convenient to all amusements in the area, such as El Paseo, galleries and museums, the Living Desert, and hiking trails. The layout of the condo was extremely comfortable and great for entertaining.
The property was clean and well maintained inside and out, and the beds were very comfortable, with enough pillows to accommodate us.
It was a pleasure dealing with the property owners and she was honest in her description of the property.
I would definitely recommend this property.
We enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub, and were astounded by the delicious variety of citrus trees all around us; it was amazing to walk a few steps out the door and pick a humongous grapefruit for breakfast and my granddaughter had a grand time picking oranges and making fresh juice each day.
We also enjoyed the unique landscape where we were surrounded by snowcapped mountains in the distance, and then to look around and see all the palm trees and citrus trees in front of us.
The drive to the Cliff House Restaurant in La Quinta, was pleasant but the food, ambience and views were spectacular! Locally, Richie's Diner in the Westfield Mall and location of supermarkets, such as Trader Joes, 99 cent store and affordable department stores, were almost at our fingertips.
The complex is located right along Hwy 74 and just a few blocks from El Paseo and The College of the Desert, making it a great and convenient location. The complex is older but very well maintained and because of it's age, has numerous mature plants and abundant fruit trees, all ripe for the picking. The unit was exceptionally clean and the beds and furniture very comfortable. It has been partially updated and the kitchen was adequately stocked, all though a bit of a mixed match of plates, mugs, etc. We did find the horizontal blind slats both upstairs and down to be a pain however as each time we opened them, a slat would fall off. We eventually just rolled them up in the corner as they fell off and rehung them when we left. The rear outside patio is a nice sitting area tucked between lush vegetation, lawn and palm trees. Unfortunately, this unit is located about 75 feet from noisy Hwy 74, sadly taking away from the patio's serene comforts. There are a number of pools located around the development, some are cold water and some heated, as well as tennis courts. The pools are very nice and the only drawback would be that there are no shade umbrellas or covered shade areas at any of the pools, making that a problem for those not wanting to get too much exposure while still enjoying the water. The unit does have a couple of float noodles and a float ring available to use.
Overall, the unit was very reasonably priced, appropriate for it's age and minor shortcomings. The grounds are beautiful and quiet, much nicer then the huge resorts located nearby. The complex also sits right at the foot of the mountains making for a great sunset experience. Casual bike riding is a bit limited inside the resort, but we found nice riding along a path on Hwy 74 and through the neighborhoods just to the east of the condos. We would recommend this unit to anyone without hesitation.
What a lovely place to stay! The place was clean, nicely decorated lots of little extra's for your convenience and freshly picked grapefruit! The location was close to everything we needed, El Paseo was just a 2 min drive down and road. Any time we had a question, we received a quick and pleasant response. I would recommend this place to anyone.
