We live in San Francisco with our two daughters, dog and two cats.
Kari Novatney purchased this cottage in 2004
It is an oasis in the city with spectacular views.
Few locations within central San Francisco offer both commanding views, a garden-like respite from the urban fabric, and close proximity to so many of San Francisco's attractions.
The apartment exceeded our expectations. When we walked in we had a wonderful view of Coit Tower and the water.
Although we were right off of Lombard with all the tourists, the building is set back so we did not hear anything when we were inside. From the balcony we were able to enjoy the views.
The inside was clean and well decorated. The master bedroom has a beautiful view, the other bedroom has a nice view of trees.
The cable car stops close by at the top of the hill, we bought passes and were able to ride it to Market. Little Italy and Ghirardelli were close by (downhill).
Kari was great to work with. We would definitely stay there again on another visit.
Everything worked reply well and we enjoyed our stay.
Views are as awesome as the pictures suggest. Very comfortable beds, and interesting and unique location right off Lombard Street.
We stayed in this beautiful apartment for 4 weeks and we loved every minute of it. The views are amazing! The location couldn't be any better...you can walk almost anywhere or jump on a cable car at the top of your street and move about the city via public transportation. We loved the beauty and atmosphere of the neighborhood. Even though Lombard is often bustling with tourists wanting to capture the view of the crooked street, once you are inside the apartment and you open the windows and doors, you don't even know they are there and you can sit back and take in the sights and sounds of beautiful San Francisco. Kari was very helpful and took very good care of us...we hated to leave and we can't wait to go back again soon!
This is a lovely apartment with a fantastic view over the bay towards the Bay Bridge and Oakland. Very comfortable. Considering this is on a busy tourist destination street, the weekend crowds are surprisingly far off. The kitchen's provisioned for only the simplest cooking (Brits will notice a lack of teapot, for instance) though it has all the appliances. But this is a minor cavil. The owner was very responsive to questions and requests (for an ironing board, and a couple of extra cable channels), and made us v. welcome, even though I failed to read the joining instructions properly. All in all, though, with the abundant greenery, the flocks of parrots and the flitting hummingbirds, it's a lovely spot where you can imagine yourself transported back to Barbary Lane for a week or two. Pricey but worth it.
Great location, walking distance to many interesting places - parks, restaurants, cable car, grocery stores, etc. Fantastic views. Once inside it is quiet and serene.
Walking distance to North Beach, Chinatown, Fishermans Wharf, Ferry Terminal Marketplace and Union Square.
