Belleair Beach is a quiet upscale residential community located on a barrier island. It is the last preserved residential community in Pinellas County. To the north is Clearwater Beach and to the south Indian Rocks Beach.
Our family had been vacationing on Sand Key for years. We used to stay in either of the two hotels located on Sand Key. We'd be cramped in a small room or forced to rent two adjoining rooms, couldn't make a sound once we would get the kids to sleep, would have to wake up early to save space at the pool and then scramble in the morning to find breakfast. Not exactly relaxing for us. After finding a condo to rent in Belleair Beach, it made vacationing with young children very easy and enjoyable for all of us. All the conveniences were right here. At the end of the day when the kids were in bed, we were able to still enjoy ourselves without waking them, unlike being in a hotel room. We had the option of dining in or out. Have pizza delivered and watch a movie after a long day at the beach or sit outside and use the grill as we watched the sunset. Now that our kids are older and many times bring friends, they still enjoy coming and having the mix of quiet Belleair Beach or taking the Jolly Trolley over the bridge to Clearwater Beach. We were fortunate to finally purchase a place of own and hope you will enjoy it as much as our family does. This is a great place for people of all ages.
The location of Belleair Beach has the best of both worlds. There are no commercial businesses, but within 3 miles in either direction, north in Clearwater Beach or south in Indian Rocks Beach you have all that tourism has to offer. There are plenty of shoppes, dining and nightly activities at Pier 60.
We had a great time at this location; no surprises at the unit, very well kept and clean, and owner was extremely responsive and helpful when we had questions. Would definitely rent again, no questions asked!
We just returned from a weeks stay in Belleair Beach. We stayed with our two kids (8 & 11). The area and condo offered plenty to do. The beachfront location was better than expected. Loved that there was plenty to do as a family, our favorite was corn toss on the beach at sunset. Unfortunately we did have a rainy afternoon but there was a selection of movies and games to keep the kids entertained. We've already booked for next years school vacation!
Our family stayed here. There were no toys. Floats and Beach chairs were mildewed as was everything in the storage area outside which was disappointing as we had a 6 year old with us. No tvs in 2 bedrooms. Tv in living room was smaller and outdated. Refrigerator had a condensation problem. The view is beautiful and the condo was very clean and decorated nicely. This is definitely more of a senior condo complex.
Stayed w my 2 girlfriends & loved it soucy went back w my family of 6! Not only was it spotless but decorated beautifully & tastefully! Plenty of room for everyone! We walked the beach every morning, swam in the pool every evening and could even get done exercise in walking to town/breakfast! Great location? Great sunsets, great condo' can't wait to go back!
It goes without saying that there is plenty of beach, watersports, boating and fishing activities just outside your door. But there is such a variety of things to do nearby off the beach. Located in Largo there is a Botanical Garden and Armed Forces Military Museum. Clearwater boasts two Wineries that are open for tours and tastings, take in a show/concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall or perhaps a Jazz festival in Coachman's Park. Clearwater also has an Aquarium which is home to Winter, the dolphin from 'Dolphin Tales' not to mention Go Karts and Simulators. Broaden your travel time to:
30 minutes and you will find:
Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, Tampa Aquarium and plenty of waterparks to choose from.
90 minutes will take you to:
Disney, Epcot, and Universal to name a few.
If amusement parks are not your speed, perhaps shopping in St. Armands Circle in Sarasota or closer to home in Dunedin.
There is something for EVERYONE rain or shine.
