This is an unbelievable house and price for the best location. It is within walking distance of everything downtown in a family friendly neighborhood. You can walk to all Riverfront attractions and restaurants. It is a luxuriously and recently restored historic home that incorporates convenience and comfort with warmth and character. It is a legal nightly rental.

This Victorian home is one of many that the owner has restored in downtown Chattanooga. Other homes by the owner were featured on HGTV and in 'Southern Living Magazine'. Any visitor will enjoy the quality and style that this house provides.

This beautiful Victorian home is located in the oldest neighborhood in downtown Chattanooga. The historic tree-lined walking neighborhood is a few minutes walk to all of downtown Chattanooga and its sites. The neighborhood is beside UTC and Erlanger Hospital. The owner has multiple vacation rental properties either next door or within a 2 block walk. This allows for larger groups to be near each other.

The impeccable restoration of this home, retaining all of the 1897 character, but incorporating a modern style allows a relaxing and comfortable experience. The home flows easily with an open floor plan and spacious living spaces. The eat-in kitchen boasts state of the art stainless appliances and granite counters. Two of the three bedrooms have queen beds, with one additional bedroom that has two double beds and a twin. There is also a upstairs lounging area that has a easily convertible double sleeper bed that can used with larger groups. There are luxurious linens that allow for great sleep away from home.

The bedrooms effortlessly accommodate nine people. And with the sleeper sofa the home can sleep 11 guests. The master bedroom suite has its own fireplaces, walk-in shower, claw foot tub and double sinks. However there is a second hall door that can allow families to share this large bath. It is a haven in itself.

There is a large upper balcony that sits among the treetops. The den hosts a flat screen HDTV, fireplace, and comfortable leather sofas. There is a cozy front porch with a bench and a swing to relax outside.

The homes location allows minutes access for business travelers or visitors to any of the local businesses, preparatory schools, hospitals, or UTC. For the cost of any local downtown hotel you have the comfort and privacy of a 2500 sq. ft. in this home. You can enjoy all of the downtown and riverfront sites and activities with ease.

You may enter with the ease of a lock box and never wait in a line. It is a perfect place to rest and relax while enjoying all of Chattanooga's amazing attractions. Leave your car parked in the off street parking behind the home and walk to the Aquarium, the Bluff View Arts District, Coolidge Park, the Walnut Street bridge, or many of the other downtown restaurants and shops. Either way, driving is only minutes.

Like many of the homes of this time period there are steps going to the first floor as well as to the second floor to two of the bedrooms. Therefore, it is not well suited for handicapped or elderly guests.

I love that my house feels like a Victorian townhouse that embraces the beautiful architecture of 1897 with the abstract and modern design that when interpreted well is timeless.

Beautiful, restored home - Great location!

What a great alternative to a hotel! We had the opportunity to stay here in April 2017 and it was perfection in every way. We visited Chattanooga for our spring break with another family and this spacious, restored home provided us a nice escape and room to spread out rather being cramped in a hotel. The location is great, just a few minute drive from all of downtown's activities including the aquarium and children's museum. If it weren't for the fact we had a four year old with us, we could have walked. Jo Beth really thought of everything when she restored this beautiful home. The kitchen is amazing and had virtually everything we needed. It was immaculate when we arrived, which as you may know if sometimes an issue with rentals homes. I emphatically recommend this property on your next visit to Chattanooga.

Nice property on a lovely street

This property is well restored, and equipped. We were 4 ladies, from mid 50's to 70 years of age. The highlight of the property was the front porch and the swing. It is in an older neighborhood on a tree lined street that is pedestrian friendly. Such a pleasure to talk to the passers by. It would be nice to have a few more comfortable seating arrangements on the porch. Rockers or gliders. The down side was the back entry steps. Be aware if you are seniors, or have very young children. Access to the house from parking at the back of the house is a long steep flight of stairs to the backdoor entry. ( lock is there, must enter and exit). We did pull the car to the front to unload. The house is a "town house" and the rooms are narrow and feel small. There is not enough room for larger groups of people/families to gather. The dining area is cramped. The kitchen and the front porch provide the only areas for gathering for more than 4 or 5 people. Minor issues: overhead light burned out on main floor bedroom; not enough extra towels, particular on the second floor where the showers are. All in all, a very good location for sight seeing in downtown Chattanooga and surrounding areas, and a pleasant stay. Loved visiting Chattanooga.

Owner's Response: I am so happy that you loved the location and felt that the house was a nice property. I do want any future guests to know that the 2 living rooms on the main floor are open to one another and each seat at least 5-6 guests. There are also additional side chairs that can add seating if you would like to seat more in part of the living areas. The dining room seats eight. There are also at least 10 towels in the upstairs baths with additional towels in additional bedroom storage. The home is a Victorian with staircases but the front of the home has 6 steps to enter if you would rather come and go from that door. There is also a bedroom and half bath on the main floor if a guest would prefer to manage the steps inside less often. I am glad that you had a pleasant stay but do want future guests to have this info.

Luxurious Stay Downtown Chattanooga at a Gorgeous Historic House

It was beautiful, well cared for , cleaned and thoughtfully stocked House. We had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable and linen was beautiful and plentiful. Tons of clean towels and extra pillows and blankets for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed - everything was functional and in top shape.

Our host took care of everything so our arrival and departure was effortless. There was Cable TV and Fast internet access, beautiful furniture in a beautifully restored historic home. It was truly a pleasure staying there.

The location is right by the UTC campus, and less than 10 minute away to any attraction, supermarket, pharmacy, etc. Plenty of parking.

I would certainly recommend this house for a big family (or two)!
