About the property

Our authentic adobe home adjoins scenic Cheyenne Creek with wooded hiking trails and is one block from the world-renowned Broadmoor Hotel. Come enjoy the abundant wildlife, relax in the spa, and fall asleep to the sounds of the creek.

Broadmoor Hotel founder, Spencer Penrose, owned our cottage during the early 1900's, a time when the resort was being built. Originally built in 1895 and now completely renovated, our home provides all the modern conveniences including cozy in-floor radiant heat throughout. Guests will enjoy our two bedroom home, including a hot tub outside, a large soaking tub inside and a bio-fuel fireplace. Our home is senior friendly, accessible by wheel chair and offers upgraded cable and WiFi.

Words are not really enough to describe our stay at this beautiful house and Colorado Springs! My husband, myself, our our lab had the best experience ever! The house was perfect for the 3 of us and had everthing we needed! It was cozy and just perfect! Judy was available when we needed her and we couldn't be happier! The snow was perfect for us Texans and the views were outstanding! We visited Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and the Broadmoar Hotel! We couldn't have had it any better!!

Charming and quiet but central to everything

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the Cheyenne Creek cottage for a week with my husband, two sons and small dog. We loved it! It was the perfect size for the four of us. The neighborhood is quiet and wooded. I listened to the sounds of the creek every night when I went to bed and enjoyed breakfast on the deck in the backyard every morning. It was very peaceful but at the same time, it was central to everything we wanted to do. We walked to the Broadmoor hotel and also to a great stop for coffee up the hill. Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, The Bear Creek Dog Park and many restaurants and shops are about a 15 minutes' drive away. Cheyenne Canyon is up the road.

In the house itself, we found everything that we needed. The Queen bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The kitchen is very well-stocked with spices, cookware, etc. The hot tub was an added plus. Judy and Tom left helpful information about the house and things to do in the area. They take very good care of their home and made sure that we had everything we needed for a great stay in Colorado Springs. Overall, it was a cozy and very comfortable home base from which to explore Colorado Springs and I wish that we could have stayed longer.

beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent ten days in July in this beautiful adobe home. The back garden was our favorite breakfast spot in the morning. When the sun got too hot, we shifted to the front yard under the umbrella. Inside, the house was spotless. The main bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We kept windows open so we could hear the sound of running water in the creek by the house. Although we did not cook, preferring to sample Colorado Springs' many excellent restaurants, the kitchen was very well stocked and very clean. And by the way, you're a walking distance from the Broadmoor. We are grateful to the Arnolds for giving us the opportunity to stay in their home, which made our vacation that much lovelier.

Everything couldn't have been more perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 4 nights during our son's college graduation. Every detail was perfect, the house couldn't have been cleaner and better stocked and Judy was very responsive each time we had a question. We travel a lot and this home by far was our favorite. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!!

Very clean, neat and well appointed adobe next to the Broadmoor Hotel! Easy walk to the hotel, close to other attractions. Every detail was in place. Instructions on how to run everything in the house, to well appointed kitchen with spices, coffee, ect. Very tastefully decorated. We had such a wonderful time and will be back as soon as possible!
