About George and Rebecca Holland
George and I are from Texas and we purchased this property while our son was attending college at Emory & Henry. If you've never seen Emory & Henry college, be sure and make the short trip to exit 26 off I-81 to visit the oldest college in Virginia. We fell in love with the beauty of Southwestern Virginia and hope to retire here someday. George loves to fly fish the South Holston, while my favorite activity is going to plays at the Barter, attending arts and crafts festivals, and walking along the Creeper Trail.
George and Rebecca Holland purchased this Townhome in 2011
Why George and Rebecca Holland chose Harrison
We looked at many properties in Virginia and settled on this beautiful town home. We love that it is close to everything the area has to offer yet is tucked back in a quiet residential area. It's nice to be able to walk down the hill to the Highland's shopping center and grab a meal at JJ's, Heather's, or work out at the fitness center. Bristol, Virginia, with all its shops and restaurants off exit 7, is a close drive.
What makes this Townhome unique
This town house had recently been redone before we purchased it with new paint, counter tops, and all stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. The layout is very efficient with lots of closet space. The finished basement became a bedroom with the addition of a bathroom in the spring of 2014.

Spacious and comfortable
We enjoyed the weekend in this townhome. It was a last minute trip for us, and Becky responded quickly to get us set up. It was a great location for golf at Clear Creek. The beds were comfortable, and kitchen had a good setup with basic supplies. The basic supplies for laundry were definitely appreciated. The house was very clean. It is up a hill with more steps to the front door, so keep that in mind when packing.
It was great!!
My family and I had a great time in Abington.
The Townhouse was very nice and very clean it had everything you could
need. The owners was very helpful in the renting process. She made the
process very easy. We will rent it again!!!!
Thank you for your kind words. We hope to see you again soon. Happy travels! Becky and George
We found the house to be clean and well maintained . Convenient location to the interstate and town
Appreciated having essential items in the kitchen to be shared . A word of caution, found the driveway to be very steep and must use steps to enter the home Manageable for most . We had a great time reconnecting with friends and found Abingdon to be a lovely city . Highly recommend the smokehouse in town for a meal
I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay in Abingdon. We hope to see you again soon. Becky and George
Lovely property, clean, super very well maintained
We loved it..
Convenient. Comfortable. Central.
Nestled on the side of a hill at the end of a cul de sac, “Blue Ridge” town house at 331 Edmonds Drive NW is an oasis of quiet. About the only sound is a distant freight train’s whistle. The location is just a few minutes by car from Abingdon and the glory of rural Virginia countryside.
All the modern appliances are there and a spacious kitchen. There was even enough of this and that to make caprese. The house comfortably sleeps four adults plus two children. There are three bathrooms with one en suite. Our group (four adults and one small child) was there because of a granddaughter’s participation in the Suzuki Institute’s violin camp at Emery and Henry College. We knew we had hit a home run when the granddaughter (6) exclaimed ecstatically: “My own room!” “My own television!” My own bathroom!”
Because of the location, parking is best inside the garage where the car can sit level. Parking on the driveway slope is not convenient, but also not a show-stopper - even for a 77-year old geezer. Local shopping is best at Kroger’s because the range of selections is better and there's a real deli counter for those who may not want to cook every lunch and dinner. Nothing commercially useful to residents is within walking range. The nearest strip mall was mostly closed during our stay and did not look inviting. Best to take a few extra minutes for the drive to a large shopping center nearby, or Abingdon itself.
Thank you for the kind words, Eric. We enjoyed having you and hope you'll visit us again soon. Becky and George
