Great times at this tennis villa condo

We really enjoyed staying at this condo. It was centrally located. Our hosts were so responsive and left great information. We walked to the beach, grocery stores, library and restaurants. The view is amazing and the surrounding grounds are kept so beautifully. We joined the tennis club while we there to take advantage of the lap pool and exercise equipment. We have already reserved for next year!

Perfect Ocean View Getaway

Wonderful villa with a great view of the ocean and perfect ocean breezes. The villa is well stocked, very clean and beds are super comfortable. The location is right between Laguna Beach and Dana Point--two of my old stomping grounds and the walk to the beach is beautiful! Also, the Strands Beach hike and Headlands is perfect for those that want a 1 hour workout with lots of stairs! I would recommend this place to couples or small families!!! Al and Jill are great to work with and get right back to you!!

Excellent apartment and comunity

Dana Point is a fabulous location and this apartment is right in the middle of it.

Close to the beach, harbour and Laguna beach just a few miles away.

An excellent place to stay would use again.

The surrounding area is really upmarket we felt really at home.

The apartment had everything we needed.

Nice Property and Location

My husband and I just spent 45 days at the Tennis Villa. We were very happy with the condo. There was lots of living space. I liked the kitchen. There were lots of cooking pots and pans. A new blender arrived a couple of days after we arrived which we used a lot. The cable package was very basic but Jill upgraded it for us when we asked and we really appreciated that. The BBQ was one that uses brickets which we haven't cooked with much. We bought some lump charcoal and did a lot of smoking meat which turned out awesome. You could see the ocean from the balcony. It was nice having a garage to put the vehicle in. I liked the location. I walked most days through Sea Terrace Park and down to Salt Creek Beach and then around the St. Regis Golf Coarse. I was able to even walk to the Headlands. I also liked the close proximity of Ralph's and Trader Joes.on Cameno Del Avion. We would definately stay there again.

Relaxing with great views

Great location and very comfortable home. We didn't use any of the amenities because we were too busy, being in town for a wedding....but it was generous that they had them available. The villas are quiet and the views from the deck are beautiful! Would definitely come back to stay at this property.

Just OK

THE GOOD:

Wonderful location for this condo complex, right across the street from the St. Regis Resort.

Condo is very clean.

There is a peek ocean view.

Two balconies.

Pool & jacuzzi are clean and in great condition.

It was nice enough for us to want to stay an extra night since we were already there, but we would not re-rent this unit.

THE BAD:

Many of the bed linens are pilled, which means they need to be replaced, and pillows don't smell fresh, nor do the bed coverings.

Ice maker in fridge is broken.

Keurig coffee/pod machine broken. I am familiar with these machines, they are simple to use. This one did not brew.

Broken air conditioning, and condo is in a hot location, getting full sun all day with volume ceilings.

Front door lock extremely sticky, you had to work with it for awhile, being careful not to break key. Many calls to female owner, who said she had been meaning to get it fixed. Male owner said he didn't know anything about it & had just come back into town. Had to ask repeatedly for a WD-40 fix from female owner, even though they live "right across the street". Male owner came back into town & came over to ask if I had seen his FedEx package. He quickly fixed lock with WD-40. My husband and I spent a lot of time and stress with that lock, not what we normally do on vacation.

Many of the furnishings are of the junky flea market type. The heavy faux Romanesque statue in dining area is held on it's pedestal by one loose wire, so watch out.

Clothes dryer does not shut off when door opens which is dangerous. It takes a long time to dry even a few items.

Owner's Response: This 'guest' was troublesome before they arrived. For a place described so poorly, they were upset when we could not accommodate an extra night. They wanted to check in earlier than allowed, (which by the way, we accommodated by bringing in additional cleaning crew). The guest was rude, aggresive and are 0 star guests that we would never invite back to our condo.
