A private place on a hillside with access to wineries, beaches, hiking & more!
This small, 1-bedroom, 1-bath hideaway can sleep 2 people comfortably. It is situated in the hills of west Atascadero on the backside of the coastal mountains, high above the valley that stretches for miles. It is perched in the oak trees making this a spectacular, private, “tree-house” setting.
In addition to stunning views, this apartment is located in the heart of wine country with easy access to the central coast beaches, hiking trails, and restaurants. Paso Robles, with over 300 wineries is 15 minutes away, and San Luis Obispo is a 25-minute drive. Avila Beach, Cayucos Beach, Morro Bay, and Cambria are approximately 20-30 minutes away.
Airy and cozy, this place is newly remodeled with all new stainless steel appliances - dishwasher, microwave and stove, granite counters, tile flooring, fireplace, flat-screen TV with DVD player and a queen-size bed and full pull-out bed (in case 2 people want separate beds). The outdoor patio overlooks a million dollar view and a place to watch the wildlife; a perfect place to relax for a quiet morning coffee or sip the local wine while watching the beautiful sunset.
Owners, Bill and Paula, are retired educators and world travelers. They will be glad to give you suggestions about special places to visit and things to do in the area. With advanced notice they can arrange a driver for you to go wine tasting. This is a place you will want to come back to as often as possible.

About Bill or Paula Geibel
Bill and Paula are now retired. Bill was a school teacher for over 30 years, and Paula was a school psychologist and family therapist. They have travelled in many different countries and have lived in Singapore, Fiji, and Bolivia. They are friendly and willing to provide any guidance you may need in finding all the fun places and beautiful attractions to see in the area. They live on the property, but they respect other's privacy and are available if needed.
Why Bill or Paula Geibel chose Atascadero
We love this area, because of the beautiful location of views on every side of the property. The air is clean and crisp and you can feel 'away from it all', yet still be close enough to restaurants, beautiful beaches, hiking/walking, and fantastic wineries.
What makes this House unique
There is something therapeutic about being surrounded by hills and trees and fresh air. We think you will love being semi-secluded on this hilltop perch that overlooks the north county wine country and coastal mountains.

Beautiful place! Friendly owner:)
We had a wonderful and very relaxing stay. The view was amazing! The kitchen is well stocked and clean. Reasonably priced. Thanks again for renting out!
This place is magic! Stunning view! Peaceful, clean, super comfortable & great hosts!
There's no way to describe how divine this mini oasis is. If sitting on the deck and watching the sunrise as nature does her morning dance is your thing, this is the place you want to be. All the comforts of home too. Paula & Bill are beyond gracious and helpful hosts. Love this slice of heaven & will be back!
This is a lovely hilltop hideaway!
This is a great place to get away and relax, with stunning views. Paula, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. Can't wait to come back!
Wine Country Stay
We stayed at this very cute tiny house as a base to visit wine country. We thoroughly enjoyed this property and especially enjoyed the view and watching the wildlife ~~ turkeys, deer, and many acorn woodpeckers. It was a great base for visiting Edna Valley wineries. The only suggestion for the future would be to have a small cooler available to pack a picnic for the day.
Bill and Paula’s little retreat is a perfect slice of paradise. Quiet, clean, a beautiful view, and everything you need in accommodations. Within 10 minutes to everything anyone would need. Our hosts respected our privacy and even kept us informed of Paula needing to be out of town with Bill being home if we needed anything. For travelers with 2 people, it’s just right. No doubt about it, would stay again!
PERFECT GET AWAY
Stayed here with my daughter for a weekend get away and wine tasting. What a perfect place to get away from everything. Super quiet and loved watching the sunrise outside while drinking my coffee.
Located right in the heart of wine country with over 400 wineries to choose from for wine tasting. We can help arrange for a driver so you can visit multiple wineries and not worry about driving. Five central coast beaches are within 20-30 minute drive where you can fish, surf, rent kayaks and paddle boards, walk the beach, and sun-bathe. Many hiking trails are nearby. A local spa and hot mineral springs are easily accessible. Tennis courts and golf courses are also nearby. Or simply relax on the patio while overlooking the views with your wine or coffee and watch the wildlife in this rural setting.
