Great location. Super great neighborhood. Mansions everywhere around. The only problem was that the roof was dripping in the kitchen. Thought that someone was taking a shower while raining
We were quite impressed with this quiet, roomy place. All 6 of us fit quite well. The view was great and the kitchen fit our needs. It was nice to have cold bottled water in the refrigerator when we arrived. The instructions were complete. Thank you for sharing our place.
Overall, we did have a very nice stay at this apartment. It is clean, a wonderful location, beautiful view, and a very "San Francisco" type apartment. However, we just felt like there were a few things that would have been nice to know before booking. First of all, it doesn't really sleep 6. There is no way that two adults could comfortable share the futon. There was an air mattress in the closet which was possibly supposed to sleep the 6th person, but it didn't hold any air. Also, there were only 6 towels bath towels available! Yes, technically, that was enough, but what if you needed an extra? It was just really bare bones. We actually bought an extra towel at Ross and ended up leaving it there for someone else to use in the future. There weren't any extra blankets or sheets either. Finally, the kitchen was highly lacking in equipment. Yes, most people go to the city to eat at the wonderful restaurants, but part of the benefit of staying at an apartment is that you could have a meal or two in. There were maybe 2or 3 small pots and pans available, but not one knife that actually worked. We had an easier time cutting tomatoes with the butter knife than the kitchen knife that was provided. The old school oven was also pretty sketchy and smelled like gas the whole time - we were scared to use it. Basically, if you plan on making more than microwave dinners or toast, I would stay somewhere else. Lastly, technically, the front door worked and locked, but it never appeared to be all the way closed. It felt like someone had tried to break in and then they never fixed it. I don't know what the deal was, but it didn't feel very safe.
We stayed at this VRBO for 3 nights. Beatrice was very nice, and when we found out the plug in the bathroom was not working - she had a new one the very next day. The only thing criticism I would say(and it is very small)
is there are no mirrors anywhere in the place except the 1 bathroom.
I would recommend this place.
