We have young children and live in New York City. This is our weekend / summer home - a lot of thought has gone into it to make it perfect for families!
The Owner purchased this house in 2014
The Hamptons have wonderful homes - we chose this house because it is beautiful, large and perfect for entertaining. It is on a quiet street, close to everything and easy to get to.
We stayed at this gorgeous home last summer for an extended vacation. Its the perfect place for a family or a large group of friends to enjoy the best of the Hamptons. Its on a private cul-de-sac, which makes it quiet and safe for the kids to ride their bikes on the road, yet close to Southampton village, Sag Harbor and beaches.
The owners just bought the property last year and have completely refurbished the house. It is very tastefully decorated and has lots of rooms - we were two families, with parents (8 adults, 6 kids) and had a terrific time. The home is very close to a farm and we made daily walking trips to get fresh eggs, organic fruit & veggies and milk. They have pens with chickens, pigs, goats and a couple of peacocks which the kids loved. The best part is the deck and back yard with the gorgeous pool. It is fenced in, so was safe for our young kids. Great for grilling and just hanging out.
The home is also not far from Sag Harbor Golf Course, one of the few public courses in the Hamptons, and my husband and his father managed to get a couple of quick rounds in. There is a tennis academy in the neighborhood where we took our kids every afternoon for some lessons and games.
Highly recommend to anyone planning a fun vacation. We will definitely repeat again this year.
The property is within a 1/4 mile to Peconic Bay and in close proximity to several area beaches, restaurants, Wildlife Refuge, the Peconic Marina, and Southampton Village.
