Mountain Woods Retreat is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 2-story townhome at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. It is part of a small, 4-unit complex that consists of 2 duplexes, located next to wooded US Forest Service property. It backs to the 5th fairway of the Incline Mountain Golf Course, but is well screened by trees from errant golf balls. Located only 1 mile from the center of Incline Village, the unit offers the convenience of being close to amenities while retaining a feeling of seclusion.

The Incline Village beaches include Ski Beach, with boat-launching facilities; and Incline Beach and Burnt Cedar Beach, which have picnic areas and playgrounds. During Summer, Incline and Burnt Cedar beaches offer kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals, concessions, and an outdoor pool (Burnt Cedar). Public beaches at Sand Harbor and Kings Beach are short 10-minute drives away. The Incline Recreation Center includes a fitness center with classes offered throughout the day, indoor pool, and tennis courts. Incline Village also offers an outdoor fitness course, skateboard park, disc-golf course, parks and playgrounds, and a public library. Hiking and mountain biking trails abound in the surrounding mountains, many accessible at different points in Incline Village. In Winter, Diamond Peak Ski Area, only 5 minutes away, offers incredible lake views and an excellent children’s skiing program. Other nearby ski areas include Mt. Rose (15 minutes; a popular local’s area), Northstar (25 minutes), Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows (40 minutes) and Heavenly Valley (45 minutes). Tahoe Meadows, just minutes away at the top of Mt. Rose Highway (State Route 431) is a popular area for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snow play, or you can often step right outside the unit. About Alan Ramelli

We live just down the hill in Reno and enjoy getting up to Incline Village as often as we can.

Alan Ramelli purchased this townhome in 2012

Why Alan Ramelli chose Incline Village NV

We were married in Incline Village, so it will always be a magical place for us. We fell in love with this property's quiet, yet central, setting. We enjoy going into the village to dine, and sunset picnics down at the lake are one of our favorite things to do. The condo's placement is convenient to town, skiing, and the beach, yet it allows us to also 'get away from it all' by taking an evening walk on the golf course or on a nearby trail. Getting to Reno or exploring other parts of Lake Tahoe are easy from this central location.

What makes this townhome unique

Cozying up in front of the fireplace on cold winter evenings or enjoying a grilled dinner among the pines in the back are some of our favorite ways to unwind. We love the easy access to Diamond Peak and Mt. Rose ski areas, as well as cross-country skiing or snowshoeing on the golf course, up at the Tahoe Meadows, or over at Spooner Lake Cross Country center. Historical buffs can explore Thunderbird Lodge just outside Incline, Vikingsholm at Emerald Bay, Ehrman Mansion on the West shore, or the Maritime Museum in Tahoe City. Hiking and biking trails abound, and the world-famous Tahoe Rim and Tahoe Flume trails are nearby; deer, coyotes, and bear can be seen in the area (please don't feed them!), and beaver ponds can be explored just above Diamond Peak ski area. Spring and fall means the beaches are uncrowded and free, the weather is awesome, and the foliage puts on glorious, colorful shows. A public library is just down the street from the condo, and Incline boasts many great restaurants and unique shopping opportunities while remaining a small, friendly community.

The owners thought of everything

  • 5 of 5

Good location and comfortable living. The Owner Alan set the place up nicely. Everything we needed could be found. Games, books, movies, cooking tools and supplies. The back view to the golf course and trees present a nice setting either early morning or late afternoon. Property is 1 mile from Raley's Market and several restaurants. We look forward to a return visit

Wonderful place and perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We had such a nice time, and the convenience of the location spot on! The town home is in excellent condition, and the cleanliness was surprising. It's as if we were staying at the home of a clean freak - which I absolutely loved. Everything was perfect! The beds comfortable, towels nice quality, the outdoor area in the back was perfect for our pooch to run around. It's such a nice place - it will now become our "go to" place for our annual visits to Incline. In fact, it may motivate us to visit more often. Thank you Alan for sharing your lovely home with us.

Condo is comfortable, cozy and nestled amongest trees 20 feet away from golf course.

  • 4 of 5

condo was perfect for our family of 6 and very well appointed. Its proximity to both incline golf courses is very convenient and it's just up the hill from ski beach, not walking distance, but easy drive down the hill.

Highly recommend property and look forward to staying at Wood Mountain Retreat again!

Comfortable and Warm

  • 5 of 5

We were pleased to find Alan's place was so close to Diamond Peak (5 minutes). They have it set up with everything you would need - the kitchen is well stocked, as are the video and book libraries. The unit was neat, clean and had lots of comfortable seating to lounge in after a long day on the slopes. With the golf course behind it, there is lots of wide-open space for the kids to play. The beds were very comfortable too.

The electronic lock on the front door is a nice touch - no key to lose, and he lets you pick the code.

Alan communicated quickly and clearly (and provided a nice "Welcome" tray). Our deposit was returned before we were home the last day.

We'd stay here again (and plan to next year).

Comfy, well stocked, pet friendly fun on the golf course

  • 5 of 5

We had so much fun at this wonderful Incline property. The entire place, especially the kitchen, was well stocked and easy to work in. We went snowshoeing with our dogs right out the back door along the golf course and had a blast. We skied Diamond Peak one day and it was around 5 min away and had amazing views of the lake. The owners were great to work with and were very responsive, thoughtful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Convenient and Comfortable Family Rental

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay here in January. The owners were extremely thoughtful and provided many homey touches to make our stay in the condo easy and enjoyable. The kids loved the snacks they provided and the night lights in their rooms. We all loved the clean, comfortable rooms, the proximity to skiing, and the open spaces outside where our dog and kids could play. An idea family vacation rental!
