About Fletcher

I live and work in NYC but grew up in Quogue. This is our family home and is the nucleus for holiday gatherings. My father and I did many of the renovations ourselves and did our best to make sure this was a welcoming, safe, and practical home.

Fletcher purchased this estate in 1978

Why Fletcher chose Quogue

My Father purchased this home because of its proximity to Quogue Village. He instilled a love for all the community has to offer, bay fishing & surf casting, local farm to table produce, BBQing, tennis, golf, sailing and of course the wonderful beaches. I love this community, the natural beauty of the environment, and love being able to share that with friends and family.

What makes this estate unique

The house was built in 1819 and has retained its simple colonial elegance. Originally a boarding house, it served summer boarders from the City and provided access to 'healthy sea air' and the local beaches. It was later turned into an Antique Shoppe and was restored to accentuate its unique features.

Charming house

  • 5 of 5

We spent a lovely Labor Day weekend here with our friends and dog. The house is charming and well-loved, and has everything you could need. Everyone felt immediately at home.

The owner is thoughtful and accommodating, we would definitely rent from him again.

Great Property - Pet Friendly

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the White Horse for a week in the Winter (2015). The house is very charming. There are fireplaces throughout that give a cozy feeling as you prepare your breakfast in the morning or if you want to have dinner fireside.

The owner is very accommodating and flexible. When you arrive at the house everything is set for you and there are clear instructions for everything from how to connect to the wi-fi to operating the 1920's gas stove. He even provides a little story on the fascinating history of the property.

Pet Friendly is a plus!!! The property is gated so your dog has free run of the expansive lawn while you relax by the outdoor fire pit.

Beautiful Beaches and great restaurants nearby in Quogue and Westhampton Beach. If running and cycling are for you, head into the Village of Quogue and take the Post Lane Bridge south to Dune Rd. Turn east or west and you'll view the lovely homes and landscapes of the Hamptons.

A great value for such a large house/property!

New York, NY

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with family and friends for two weeks and cannot speak higher of Quogue and my stay at the famed "White Horse"! We had plenty of room for everyone to live comfortably, and the downstairs was a perfect place for family downtime and summertime BBQs.

The nearby beaches are perfect and a great way to spend the day regardless of age, and the laid back nightlife was a perfect way to cool off after a long day on the water.

I highly recommend this place!
