Beautiful scenery and great cabin

  • 5 of 5

The place is beautiful. Excellent views from the cabin. Very well maintained and clean. My only issue was parking. Had to park on a steep hill and back out. We had three cars and there was plenty of room to park along the driveway. With that exception is a great very roomy cabin in a beautiful area.

Great Mountain Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful views, great location

Enjoyed the porch for sunrise & sunset. Canoe was a great way to explore the lake.

Easy access to Roan Mountain (and I think a view of Roan from the side porch)

Looking forward to a return trip

Beautiful and spacious home on an impressive lake.

  • 4 of 5

No question, the home, views and lake were 5 stars individually however the driveway was very steep and unpaved. The 5 minute walk from the dock wasn't too bad for the members of our group that could do it but half of our group needed a car to make it up the steep hill. All in all, the vacation was wonderful and would recommend this home to anyone planning a trip to this area.

Spectacular scenery in a beautiful and nice cabin

  • 4 of 5

Some information for future guests:

1. The cabin is located on hillside with very steep access road which some part of it at the end is not asphalted.

2. Google Maps is not precise there. Use these coordinates for the exact location of the cabin:

3. The canoe is located at the front left corner of Dock B which is about 5-10 min walk from the cabin. Use the same entrance password to unlock the canoe. The paddles and life jackets can be found in the washer/dryer room.

4. Although the cabin is nice and clean, the bedsheets are not! There were also hundreds of ladybugs in one of the room and we used the vacuum cleaner to clear them.

5. You will get back your deposit in about 3 weeks after check out.

7. Owner, housekeeping and maintenance were kind, fast and helpful.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. The home is in the mountains, hence there are hills. There is a completely paved access road that makes a very enjoyable walk. The driveway is gravel to help traction when there is snow. Although Hamid contacted us with questions almost 8-10 times before and during the stay, he never mentioned any issue with bedsheets. Our housekeeper is available 7 days/week, but was never contacted by him. After speaking with Hamid, he tells me he didn't realize that the bedsheets came in colors other than white (our sheets are color coordinated with the comforters) He assumed this meant they weren't clean? In the winter, if you leave a window open, some lady bugs might get in. Rose, our housekeeper goes through the whole house the day before guest arrival to ensure everything is perfect. Although we appreciate the GPS coordinates, we've never had guests have a problem finding the house. There is very good road signage and GPS works fine there. Deposits are now returned by the computer system within a week. Thank you for your 4 star rating. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.

Great weekend at a beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend at the cabin! The house is beautiful and very clean. We had small children with us and felt comfortable in the house. Would recommend bringing a baby gate for the stairs as they are a little more dangerous than normal stairs (even thought they are beautiful). We rented a boat for a day and were able to use the dock with ease. The lake is gorgeous with lots of little coves for swimming and picnics. The house was spacious but homey and we will absolutely consider another trip to the house. Our only critique is a little more signage to find the house since GPS was not the most accurate after getting on Draft RD. we needed some assistance with a wasp nest on the deck and the maintenance response was fabulous! Thank you for opening your home for us to enjoy a wonderful weekend at the lake!
