The best location in La Paz! In the center of everything!

One minute walk to the Malecon.

This 2 story casita next to a 120 year old Tamarind tree and was renovated this summer (2014). The studio (downstairs) has a kitchen, dining table and a sofa bed that makes 2 twins or a Queen with extra thick orthopedic foam, very comfortable. There is a bathroom downstairs and also one upstairs with the bedroom which is furnished with a full size bed and a twin memory foam bed. Super high efficiency AC units in both rooms. It is on the same property with Casa de la Vaquita which was built in the 1890's, sharing a common courtyard.

Relaxing, comfortable, convenient

  • 5 of 5

The Casita was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. Lots of nice small touches to make us feel at home. Great neighborhood with access to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, and the malecon. Easy drive (or take the bus) to some great beaches. Christine was out of town but Kevin welcomed us and was available by phone if we needed anything.

Beautiful retreat in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved everything about our stay in the Casita. The outdoor space was relaxing and peaceful. Indoors was beautiful and equipped with everything we needed. Check in was friendly and helpful. Communication with the owner was quick and easy over email. We definitely recommend this home.

One of a kind- great location!

  • 5 of 5

My extended family of 7 stayed at this property combined with the Casa Vaquita. The kids lived in this "tree house" and absolutely loved it. It was a cozy retreat after a long day in the water. The property is in a fantastic location- across the street from a grocery store and a block away from several great restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience!

  • 5 of 5

We had an awsome time. We flew into Cabo and rented a car to drive to La Paz. There was parking right outside the casita. We loved the courtyard outside. We spent a lot of time sitting out there visiting and have a few beers. When we arrived the fridge was stocked with beer, pop, water and yogurt. It is just a 2 block walk to the Malecon where there are restaurants and bars. There is a beautiful boardwalk along the water. There is a market across the street and Tuesday and Sunday they have a farmer's market there as well. Christine was a great host and was always available if we had questions. I just can't say enough about the fun we had. One of our better vacations!

Gracious hosts, great neighborhood, wonderful neighbors

  • 5 of 5

As a side trip to our Cabo vacation, La Paz was not the center point of our Mexico trip. It quickly became one of our most enjoyable experiences, however, due in large part to this wonderful casita. It is located two blocks from the Malecon, with all of its authentic restaurants and bars, its great views of the ocean and fantastic sunsets, and its friendly locals. The unusual layout of the house, with the bedroom and kitchen/living room/shared courtyard on separate levels, only added to the charm. It helped that we had wonderful neighbors from Quebec, who were more than happy to share advice on what to do in La Paz.

Christine and Kevin made sure all of our needs were anticipated, including a refrigerator stocked with enough food and drink to hold us for practically a full day! I only wish we had scheduled a few more days here.

Great Place to Stay in La Paz!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Casita Tamarindo for two months January - March, 2016. Christine and Kevin were wonderful "landlords". They were very personable and responsive to our every need. We also brought our dog, Willie, and he had a few play-dates with his "Mexican girlfriend", Jellybean! The market is right across the street. There are tons of restaurants from which to choose. Everything is within walking distance. We had a car since we drove from Ohio, but you can always bus to the beaches and other places. Both Christine and Kevin are knowledgeable about not only La Paz, but other surrounding towns as well (where to eat, what to see, etc.) We loved the property and the location - so close to the Malecon! We miss our daily walks, fresh seafood, and La Paz!
