Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
We loved the condo. We went just before Christmas and it was decorated for Christmas. The lit Christmas tree was on when we arrived, there were Christmas stockings and decorations everywhere. We thought that was very special. The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans, just need a few more kitchen towels.
First, the layout of this place and the location are great. But there were some problems with our stay that made it less than ideal. The carpet had gravel on, so we had to find the vacuum in a closet and vacuum ourselves. The dust cup on the vacuum was over-full, so I had to empty out TONS of dust and junk from the dust cup before the vacuum would even work. The water heater was either not on or not functioning, so we had no hot water. (We took cold showers, it was the summer. If it had been winter it would have been a whole other story.) A fuse blew when we just turned on the kitchen lights, leaving much of the unit without power and nobody responded to address that. There was no wi-fi as promised in the ad, not even wi-fi with poor service... just absolutely no wireless network at all. I don't think I'd book this place again, although if they improve upon these things the place really does have potential. It has lots of sleeping options and the loft room is fun for kids.
I truly loved it here! This condo accommodated the dog, kids, and my boyfriend and I very comfortably. The boys really got a kick out of the ladder you had to climb to get to their beds. The extra blankets, toys and games were also a great bonus. I loved the simplicity of the kitchen as it provided the necessities yet wasn't over cluttered and allowed enough room for our own food and supplies. The location couldn't get any better. We were able to walk to the slopes, sledding and we were only minutes from the convenient store.
If I had anything slightly negative to say, it would be to improve the Internet connection, and possibly allow access to at least the dryer. We had wet clothes from snowboarding and it would of been nice to be able to dry them to prepare for the following day. We read the reviews prior to booking this cabin and weren't the slightest bit bother by the location of the tv or romote... If anything it made us laugh that someone would complain about that. We spent more one enjoying the view rather then watching the tv anyways.
Great location, directly across from Giant Steps Ski Resort, and tubing hill. Great view of the resort from the condo. Lots of stairs to climb to get to the unit. The parking for the condo was very limited. The decor is very outdated and not very comfortable but I was not expecting fancy so it didn't bother me too much.
The stove is very old and not all of the burners worked. I didn't even dare try to turn on the oven. The TV was very difficult to watch due to its location being almost to the ceiling, and neither remote had a back so the batteries kept falling out. The property was very cold on arrival and took about 6 hours to warm the place up. We did start a fire but we had to go get wood first (there was none provided) and it only heated up the living room. It would be nice if the property management would turn on the heat before guests arrive. There was a light bulb burned out and looked loose in the kitchen above the table and when my niece touched it to try to tighten it we lost power to the main floor and bathrooms. We could not locate the power box and could not reach anyone to help us for about 2 hours so we were unable to use the stove to cook, we had no light, no heat, no TV, and the fridge was off. There is no internet access. The deck had about 2-3 feet of snow on it so we couldn't use it. It would have been nice if they would keep a shovel and ice available or keep it cleaned off.
We finally were able to reach a live person about and hour and a half after we lost power and they sent someone to us quickly. It was just frustrating to keep getting a voicemail instead of a live person when there are problems.
We had 8 of us stay in this unit. For future visits I would not rebook this place. It felt tight at times, the loft is hard to access the 3 twin beds as there is only a ladder to get up. The place is old and felt grimy, however the location is great. The wifi name and password they have never pulled up, no one had wifi the entire long weekend. There was no washer and dryer as stated. It was a bit overpriced for what it is. The family photos all over the place was weird. The doorknob to the upstairs bedroom rattled like someone was trying to get in a few times in the first night, maybe this place is haunted. Sure felt like it. On a positive note, the location is right across the street from the slopes.
We had a wonderful visit at this condo! Our family squealed in excitement as soon as we walked up to the front door and then entered into the living room! It was beautifully decorated for Christmas! The fireplace was definitely used several times by us with the wood provided. There was a private balcony filled with snow that our nephew immediately claimed as his personal playground with sleds if needed. The two bedrooms and one loft room were very sufficient for the 6 of us and the array of music CDs and movies were wonderful. The best part was opening the curtain to look outside and seeing the Brian Head ski hills. Thank you again for a wonderful stay during the holidays. We definitely recommend this condo!
