About the Property

Located near Loop 1 (Mopac), Parmer, I-35 and 183 - very convenient location!

The home is located within a few blocks of Parmer, near McNeil (closest grocery store, HEB, is located at McNeil and Parmer), Mopac (Loop 1) and Highway 183 (Research). Interstate 35 is a short drive down Parmer Lane. This is an excellent location to get almost anywhere in the city or even to nearby communities like Round Rock or Cedar Park/Leander.

This location is very close to shopping, dining and entertainment. The Domain and The Arboretum are within minutes; and the Round Rock Outlets is within 13 miles. Great restaurants in the area include Tomo Sushi (4101 W Parmer Lane), Z'Tejas Avery Ranch (10525 W Parmer Lane), Thai Cuisine (4101 W Parmer Lane), P.F. Chang's (10114 Jollyville Road), and Eddie V's Prime Seafood (9400 Arboretum Boulevard). Abel's North Sports Bar is a good place for watching games (4001 W Parmer Lane).

The home is close to area tech employers including Apple, Flextronics, Oracle, Dell and Samsung; and others including Homeaway’s Domain Office.

Neighborhood is very friendly with many joggers, walkers, and dog walkers. There is a neighborhood park featuring a basketball court, sand volley ball court, playground and picnic tables with barbeque grills.

Proximity to other attractions: 15 miles to downtown, 25 miles to COTA, 25 miles to Austin Bergstrom Airport. Property is located adjacent to a rail line.

Recently remodeled 2 story, 1,500 square foot home with completely updated kitchen with all new appliances and large bedrooms with all new beds (one antique bed but all new mattresses). Living room has a gas fireplace, which is great for chilly nights.

Master bedroom is extra large, with a queen bed, two separate walk in closets, and a tub/shower combo and sink/vanity area. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are also generous in size, with a hallway bath nearby. Bedroom 2 contains a full bed and twin bunk beds, while bedroom 3 contains a queen bed.

Living are contains a large flat screen TV, with cable and internet provided by Time Warner.

The house comes complete with all that is required for the bedrooms, such as clean linens, blankets, pillows, towels. Kitchen is equipped with coffee maker, toaster, microwave and all necessities for cooking and baking. The home also comes with an iron and ironing board, as well as a small hair dryer in each bathroom.

A washing machine and dryer are located in the garage; fenced yard is great for children and pets.

We are constantly working to improve the home and our guests' stay. So far this year, we have replaced the downstairs windows, added an Old Smokey grill to the backyard, a desk in the living area and dark curtains in two of the bedrooms (to block out more daylight for improved sleeping). We are replacing the carpet on the staircase, in the hallways and master bedroom with wood flooring September 5th, and have additional improvements planned for later in year.

About the owner: I moved to Austin in 2001, and met my husband Kelsey in 2003 at our children's day care. Yes, I picked up a man at my 5 year old daughter's school. We married in 2006, blending our family of two children. Our kids are currently in their Freshman year of college, and we are looking forward to the days of visiting our kids at THEIR homes, where we won't pick up after ourselves either, that's only fair right?

Why the Owner Chose Milwood, Austin, TX, USA:
We bought this home in 2011; it was leased to tenants who lived in the home for three years. We then completed a extensive remodel, in preparation for sale. After having much success (and fun!) with another VRBO property, we thought this might be a good location for business travelers that wanted more than a hotel would provide. We are testing the market in hopes that this will also be a success. It has been a lot of fun to try to provide those things that make a trip more enjoyable and keep our guests returning on future visits to Austin.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
This property has a great location - excellent access to the entire city via Mopac (Loop 1), Parmer, I-35 and Highway 183. Several employers are located in the vicinity including Dell, Samsung, etc. and there are numerous restaurant and abundant shopping opportunities at The Domain and the Arboretum.
