Magical! That is the best word to describe living on Bayou St. John. The pelicans flying, kayaks and canoes in the water, and the parade of dogs and people walking the Bayou all day.

A Rainy Jazz Fest Did Not Spoil The Fun

Beautiful home in a great location. The porch is a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee early in the morning as you watch the dog walkers and joggers go by.

Christian was very helpful and welcomed our arrival with fresh bananas and local pastries. Almost monsoon type weather during our stay but in NOLA there is no shortage of things to do. Highly recommend this home for a family gathering. A home away from home.

We had a wonderful stay! Bayou Bleu was perfect for my family. The house was beautiful and very clean! It had all updated appliances. We loved sitting on the porch looking out towards Bayou St John. We were walking distance from the streetcar line and City Park. I am a local girl and I would definitely return to Bayou Bleu. Great Property!

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at Bayou Blue! The view was ever changing, we enjoyed watching , from the porch, the activity on the bayou, the walkers with their dogs, the paddle boarders and kayakers. Sunsets were incredible! Easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. We will be back!

Bayou Bleu in New Orleans

  • 5 of 5

This property was an amazing place. It had a Bayou view, and it was quiet outside of a beatiful new orleans neighborhood. The house had plenty of room for our 3 grown children and their significant others and my partner and I. It's stretched out with the main living space in the front with the sleeping area's in the back. Master was huge with a large walk through bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped for every type of cooking that we did over our long weekend there. The only down side is that cabs are a problem, they are unreliable when you call, and many refused to take my kids home, it's less than 2 miles away from the french quarter! We discovered the trolly which has a stop at the city park, and we enjoyed using that to get into town several times. Overall, we had nothing but good things to say, and the house it large enough for a get together of 27! It was a perfect experience for us.

Our contact for the house was amazing. He really saved our trip with our last minute changes and gave us the perfect New Orleans welcome. The house was the perfect blend of classic architecture and history with an updated comforting interior. Anything we needed was in walking difference and the beignets and coffee in the park is not to be missed. Thank you!
