Perfect Apartment, great location
My family and me have just returned from a fantastic two week holiday in Sorrento.
We were greeted at Sorrento’s train/bus station by the Gerardo’s father, who then drove us to the apartment (10 minute walk away). On arrival at the apartment, we were welcomed by Gerardo’s mother, who made us coffee, gave us limoncello, olive oil, and fresh fruit and vegetables; this was a perfect start, especially the limoncello!
The apartment’s location is ideal for walking into Sorrento’s centre, and for visiting neighbouring towns. The combined train and bus station is ideal for travelling to Pompeii, Positano and Amalfi. The port is only 15 minutes away, which is where you can get the ferry to Capri; definitely worth a visit.
The apartment had everything we needed, especially the terrace which has amazing sea and countryside views, and a wonderful view of Mount Vesuvius. I never got bored of sitting on the terrace of a morning, drinking coffee and staring at Vesuvius.
When it was time to leave, Gerardo’s father dropped us at the train station. Gerardo and his parents are lovely people.
This was one of our best holidays. We were so sad to leave.
Great Place, Amazing Host very Central location
My family of 7 stayed here for 4 days and were extremely happy with everything. Gerardo and his family were amazing, kind and super helpful. This is a great place to stay if you want to take day trips to Capri, Positano, Pompeii etc.
Great location, very family friendly
Our family of 4 stayed for a week in this clean and spacious apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed the location which is within a few minutes walk from Piazza Tasso. The roof terrace area is enormous and we throughly enjoyed wining and dining of an evening whilst soaking in the stunning views. We found the main bed extremely comfortable and the shower was great. With only 1 air conditioner it could maybe do with another and parking is on availability therefore is not guaranteed.
The hosts are lovely giving us fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, olive oil and lemoncello.
Overall we loved it and would definitely stay here again
Space, space, space
Apartment was huge, outdoor patio the biggest I’ve ever seen. The view was huge, fantastic vista out to sea and Mt Vesuvius and then back to Sorrento hills. Great to be up the hill with more locals, not so many tourists.
Family owned property, lovely welcome with home made limoncello and olive oil.
Apartment is showing it’s age a little and it would have been nice to have outdoor couch or a nice entertainment area as the outdoor patio is so incredible.
Beds clean and comfortable and nice bathrooms. Great to have laundry facilities.
Thank you Gerardo for letting us stay at your place. The condo was more than I expected. Very clean and comfortable
Great Place in Sorrento
Great stay in Sorrento. Three of arrived at the train station in Sorrento with a large suitcase each, Gerardo's father meet us with his car and managed to get all of our stuff in the car. He drove us to the apartment, which is on the top floor, there is a good working elevator, big enough for 2 people and 2 suitcases at one time. The apartment was very nice, large and clean. The master had a real queen size bed that was very comfortable, plenty of storage and a private balcony with great views. The master bath was large and the shower was larger than most with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The second bedroom was very large and had 2 single beds, it opended the the large outside balcony/rooftop. Just as described, great views of Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius. There was a living room which we never used and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, it also opened to the rooftop balcony. There was a nice basket with fresh lemons and oranges and a bottle of limoncello in the freezer for us when we arrived. The place is only a 5-7 minute walk the the center of town and a 8-10 minute walk to the train station. It was the perfect location for us and we would stay ther again. The day we left, Gerardo's father drove us to the ferry dock.
Train: From Naples pizza Garibaldi, take the circumvesuviana to Sorrento (usually track 3), Sorrento is the last stop. Free transfer from Sorrento station to the apartment could be provided.
By car: Coming from the highway A1 take the exit for Castellammare di Stabia.
From Capodichino airport: there is a direct bus to Sorrento (www.curreriviaggi.it).
By hydrofoil: from Naples Beverello.
There are plenty of places nearby to visit Capri, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, etc.; Sorrento is strategically located as it allows you to reach any of these locations in an easy manner.
Thereby if you arrive by car, park it and then move comfortably by public transport.
Parking across the peninsula can be a nightmare, but the house is located in a private park with an automatic gate where you can park your car. Please note that the spots are shared, but for your arrival we will try to reserve one. For subsequent movements there is a parking at 2min if you don't find a free spot inside.
