About Charlie Roame

I was born in the state of Tennessee but moved away many years ago. When my vacation time came around I decided to go back to my home state. I chose to rent a log home and immediately fell in love with the beauty & craftmanship of the logs. I found that they offered a sense of peace and tranquility which I've never known. I can't think of anything more peacefull then sitting by the fireplace and reading a book.

Charlie Roame purchased this chalet in 2005

Why Charlie Roame chose East

The location of the home is in close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains and offers awesome views.

My family and I enjoyed our stay.

  • 1 of 5

I was surprised that 3 stories however we enjoyed our stay. The road was also quit a surprise as we are from the flat lands of Louisiana and did not expect what we called the duck head, however we managed just fine and enjoyed it. It has given us a great time telling our friends back here in Louisiana about the tight turns going up to our cabin.

Good place to stay.

  • 4 of 5

Good place to stay. Enjoyed our vacation and hope to go back. There were a few things that could be improved. The water pressure was terrible. The driveway was really steep and there wasn't a lot of room to turn around at the top. The cabin was clean, but not as clean as I would have liked. The showers had mildew and hair left in them and the floors weren't very clean. It was an overall enjoyable trip and I would go back. It would just be helpful if some things were changed and improved!

Super Nice Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was one of the nicest we have rented in the last 25 years. Roomy , nice large dining table for a large group, plenty of seating. Bedrooms were well furnished . Kitchen and bathrooms had everything needed. Only problem was the driveway. It was way too steep and no turn around space with more than one car. The view was breathtaking and for excitement a bear right behind the cabin on the first day.

Nice, spacious, well equipped home.

  • 4 of 5

We were in the Smokies for a family reunion. My brother's family stayed just down the road. Stairway to Heaven provided ample room when everyone got together for meals and games in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a bit of a challenge as we had a toddler with us, but we were able to make baby gates work. The view from the porch was beautiful, and we enjoyed sitting outside. The home was surface clean, but could really use a deep cleaning. We would go back, though

Great Cabin with Beautiful View!

  • 4 of 5

Loved everything about this cabin except the steep driveway and no yard. This cabin is also designed more for adults and teenagers and not for small children. It's 3 stories with 2 different staircases and the staircases aren't designed for baby gates very well. The view was beautiful, couldn't have asked for better. It is out of the way up on the mountain, which is great because of the beautiful view and you do feel secluded, but it does take awhile to get to the Pigeon Forge area. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future!

Nice relaxing stay.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the cabin and the ammeneties. We had plenty of room. Location was a little further out than some would like. I thought it was perfect. Wears Valley is charming and serene. Thank you for allowing us to experience it.

Chalet is centrally located between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Surrounded by majestic mountains in Wears Valley, the home is nestled high among the canopy. It's just a short drive of twenty minutes into either of the cities. The area offers a wide selection of things to do for the individual or family. Dollywood, aquarium, theaters, horse shows, white water rafting, horse back riding, and outlet malls are just a few of the fun things to do when visiting the area. After a long day and your just plain tired, why not jump into the hot tub and enjoy the view of Bluff Mountain.
