About Charlie Roame
I was born in the state of Tennessee but moved away many years ago. When my vacation time came around I decided to go back to my home state. I chose to rent a log home and immediately fell in love with the beauty & craftmanship of the logs. I found that they offered a sense of peace and tranquility which I've never known. I can't think of anything more peacefull then sitting by the fireplace and reading a book.
Charlie Roame purchased this Chalet in 2005

There was plenty of room for my family of 9 to enjoy in this home in early April. There was a wonderful view from the mountain. We ran into a problem with the oven the 1st night. When we reached the owner via email, he always responded quickly but the issue, beyond his control, could not be rectified during our stay. We used the new gas grill instead. The kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was a bit disappointing the 1st 24hrs. I think a detailed set of user instructions, if made available to us, would have solved the issue. A fire pit would be nice but concern over fire and really, no location on the hillside are two barriers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate Charlie for sharing his home.
Spacious, beautiful mountain views, needed some fixing.
Beautiful mountain views, tons of room for everyone, and everything needed to make Easter dinner. Cons: hot tub was a bit run down (fishy smell and old model), must of been a wasps nest by it as one of us got stung and we really couldn’t hang out in it due to them swarming, one of the balconies off a room had a nylon strap holding it together (seems like this would have been something fixed before guests came). It looked like it had been broken for awhile. Overall, it was a good place, close to everything, and we enjoyed our stay.
Thank you so much for your comments. Railings were scheduled to be repaired before your arrival, however the carpenter wasn't available to fix the railings before your arrival. Driveway and railings are scheduled to be repair the second week of April.
Quiet and secluded!! Loved it!
The house and views were fantastic! We all had a wonderful time!! Can't wait to do this again!
I look forward to having you back.
The cabin is absolutely beautiful.
My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very spacious, clean and accommodating. We would definitely consider staying here again. Charlie was very easy to work with and very helpful with directions and things to do. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.
It was a pleasure having you and your family as guests of Stairway to Heaven and I would forward to your return.
Amazing mountain getaway!
Loved the home and surroundings. Close to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg yet still secluded in the mountains. The home had pretty much everything we needed for our family of 8. We will always cherish our Christmas memories at “Stairway to Heaven”
Beautiful cabin with great view of mountains.
This is a beautiful cabin with a wonderful view of the mountains. The cabin had everything we needed and all we had to bring was food. We brought a family of 7 people and had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was clean. We enjoyed the fireplaces and the tvs and the pool table. The only flaw was that the felt and the rails on the pool table were worn out and need to be replaced but we still enjoyed playing pool. We hope to go back and do it again and have a great family vacation.
Thank you for your comments. I look forward to having you back as guests of "Stairway to Heaven"

Dollywood, aquarium, theaters, horse shows, white water rafting, horse back riding, and outlet malls are just a few of the fun things to do when visiting the area. After a long day and your just plain tired, why not jump into the hot tub and enjoy the view of Bluff Mountain. Other Activities: Miniature Golf,Basketball Court
