The very best area to stay on the Westside .... Worlds away from crazy Venice Beach, but yet ever so close.
A block & a half walking to Venice Beach, crazy Venice Boardwalk, beautiful Venice Pier & trendy Abbot Kinney this is an original bungalow built in 1950 yet renovated extensively with all the comforts of modern conveniences.

Situated on what 'they' say is the most beautiful canal due to its mature trees, the house is tucked in where the canal connects with Eastern Canal.
Other than the occasional duck or cat fight, you will sleep peacefully at night as there is no through traffic a rarity in LA!
The apartment is the self-contained alley access unit of a duplex & includes a parking spot!
**There is no view nor canal deck use with this unit but there is canal access through the front gate onto the public walkway & our dock.
It is the perfect place to stay when you are busy all day and need a clean quiet space to refresh.
Living area has fireplace & comfy day bed off a full kitchen with dishwasher, gas stove, disposal & roomy ice making fridge, full bathroom with tub.
Bedroom 1 has forced air a/c with small atrium & roomy closet area.
Bedroom 2 has a/c, sink, TV & super comfy queen bed.
Comes with one dedicated parking ~ important on the canals!
All gates lock to provide security & the boat dock from which to dangle your feet completes the experience!

We only rent this space for guest's quiet enjoyment of the canals & each other. For day guests or if you wish to have anyone stop by to visit kindly please look at the full house version, vrbo.com/633034, as we do not allow non registered guests onto the property.
Location, film shoots, parties or events are to be arranged prior to arrival with separate location/event agreement depending on crew, equipment or # of people involved. Legal action and/or fines will will be levied for any unauthorized filming or commercial shots of the property or use of the property for commercial purposes.

Quaint accommodations in perfect location
Can not say enough good things about the property. It’s location is absolutely perfect and you will not need to drive once you park. It is close enough to Venice Beach to capture the vibe, but far enough to escape the crowds. Great restaurants and Abbott Kinney shopping are just a walk or a “Bird” (you will know when you are there) away. The canals are crazy cool and you will see people walking around touring the area because of it. Accommodations are nicely decorated and add to the vibe. Mike and Marie make it easy and pleasant. There is construction next door but frankly we barely noticed. I would definitely stay again when I return.

This adorable rental was in the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. We spent a lot of time on Abbot Kinney and exploring the beaches and Santa Monica, so we were easily able to get around without a car. I loved the apartment itself. Great vibe and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Exceptional Value, Comfort & Location, location, location..
Our family of 5 loved staying here... In addition to the comfy queen bedroom & full daybed in living area, there is a whole additional sitting/den/studio with another queen bed... So that meant the kids had an area to do their thing & we could enjoy more private time than we had expected! Such a great area, host & accommodations..we hope to be back spring break!
Our Bungalow is located on what is left of the canals Mr. Abbot Kinney created when he built Venice in the early 1900s. When the city acquired Venice in 1933 the canals had fallen into disarray & all of the canals were filled in save for the 6 that remain here today. In 1990 the entire canal area was beautifully renovated and is now one of the most valuable areas in LA County. We are an easy walk to Abbott Kinney blvd. fabulous restaurants & shopping, the beautiful Venice Pier, and the crazy Venice Boardwalk with all of its famous street performers, etc. Bike rentals are close by and we are 10 minutes to LAX, right off Venice Blvd. with ease to Beverly HIlls, Hollywood & downtown LA. You can walk or bike most anywhere for whatever you may need~ store, bank, dry cleaners, etc.. So close to all but so far from the maddening crowds...a true sanctuary when you need one from busy LA while either working or sightseeing. Important note for visitors not from the area: There is a big difference between places actually on the canals versus on Venice Beach & the walk streets proper or off Abbot Kinney Blvd. The canals is a small self-contained area with limited car access which creates a noise buffer & makes it more difficult for the general craziness of Venice to intrude. Hence the price difference from other rentals that are grouped together here. The vacation renter is highly advised to run a quick safety check on the area in which they are renting...

$250- same day (24 hours) booking fee This listing does not have a view or deck use, only dock use. All VRBO fees for CC payments will be deducted from refundable security deposit upon return. To avoid VRBO CC fees use the Echeck option instead. All quotes are good for 24 hours & subject to change. Rental agreement will be sent through dosusign.net to click an sign. Smoking, pets, drugs, firearms are not allowed anywhere within the perimeter of the property @ any time, under any circumstances. Any child coming onto the property will require a signed release. Third party bookings must disclose & provide name, number & email of guest @ time of booking. Once reservation confirmed, guests will be sent arrival info one-two weeks prior. Check in is 4 p.m. Check out is 11 a.m. Owner reserves right to charge $100- fee per any portion of hour, per hour, past check out time guest remains on property. Non-registered guests may not park or be on property without registered guests present. Deck is private area for canal front unit use only. Guest is responsible to contact owner immediately of any issues of the functioning of the property & not attempt to fix themselves or ignore.
