About David Will
Siobahn the Resident Co-Host Extraordinaire and I thrive on providing an exceptionally great indoor, neighborhood and outdoor guest accommodation experience. I live in Seattle. I'm from Minneapolis, Minnesota. My first major out of state experience was out west, Bozeman MT on a family working vacation. It was the spark for a neighborhood friend and I to set our compass for a Bozeman Jun - Aug '74 summer Big Sky experience. I returned to MN and started a Cook-Chef one year program at North Hennipen County Tech. After my Cook-Chef food service program and work experience I decided to enlist in the AF late '75. Fortunate enough to land a two year GE tour. Lived in Germany as a civilian from '80 to '85. Finished a Federal Civil Service and AF Reserve career in Arlington VA. My first personal exposure to Portland OR was the Dandy Warhols Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia release.

We really liked the Purple Giraffe! Our host Sibhoan was on top of everything and very gracious. The house was furnished so comfortably. We loved the location, and will be back!
Unique, Modern & Extremely Clean
The Purple Giraffe is all that the website portrays and then some. It's uniquely furnished with an amazing dishwasher, great bed linens, tons of viewing choices on tv and surprise details around every corner. Bed was comfortable, lots of modern touches (temperature control on shower for one!) Siobhan and David both answered questions and responded to our needs immediately. Above and beyond in their customer service.
We walked down the hill several times to the little Montavilla neighborhood for fantastic food at the Redwood and the Country Cat Dinner House. Beautiful homes surround the Purple Giraffe and the front patio was really fun. One of our best owner operated stays ever!
We had a fabulous weekend at the Purple Giraffe Inn! It was cozy, comfortable, and very charming. Loved the shower, and the owners checked in at intervals to see if we needed anything. Best of all, my daughter and her family live a block away, so it was easy to go back and forth. We will definitely stay there again.
New and designed with the user in mind
We sat on the deck in the peaceful sun and listened to the birds
I would like to say that the Purple Giaffe Inn was absolutely wonderful. I received a welcoming eMail before my arrival and found everything to be clean and exactly what was shown and described in the posting. I loved the charm and the attention the proprietors obviously take with the property. And after your arrival and all of this goodness you will retire to find a very comfortable bed with amazing bedding. Be ready to feel pampered. This is definitely on my list as a place to return to.
Amazing little gem located on a beautiful street walking distance to great restaurants.
We were so very happy with our entire experience at the Purple Giraffe. Siobhan got us checked in early and gave us the low down on the entire area as far as bars and restaurants, which there are plenty just a short walk away. She could not have been more helpful with our entire stay. The house is cozy and very well laid out. A lovely kitchen and great selection of local wines that you pay for on the honor system. Comfortable bed as well. Overall KILLER experience and we'll be back for sure.
