Perfect secluded getaway
We loved everything about this property— from quaint cozy cabin and the private secluded river beach. Riggins is beautiful. The cabin was perfect and the beds and linens were very comfortable and clean. My kids loved the loft and our private beach!
Amazing cabin setup on the Salmon River. Cabin was clean, comfortable and well appointed with all the necessities for a great vacation. Was great having a nice sandy beach right outside the back door. Look forward to coming back soon.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and can't wait for you to come back soon!

Perfect getaway on the Salmon River
Very clean, nicely decorated, well equipped and oh so peaceful. My wife and three daughters had a wonderful time and were very comfortable.
Why Cindy Carlson chose Riggins
The Carlson family has lived on the river since the 1920's. Gus Carlson moved to this area when he was 14 and started sheep herding. In 1929 Gus bought his first piece of property and began sheep ranching on the Salmon River. The ranch is still in operation today. The cabin is located on the family ranch and named in honor of Great Grandpa Gus. We want to share our love for this place we call home with people who appreciate its beauty as much as we do.
What makes this Cabin unique
The Main Salmon River was nicknamed “The River of No Return” back in the early days when boats could navigate down the river, but could not get back up through the fast water and numerous rapids. The romantic name lives on today, even though jet boats can navigate upstream. In contrast to the Grand Canyon, the Salmon River Canyon is not noted for sheer walls and towering heights, but instead for the variety of landscapes visible from the river; wooded ridges rising to the sky, huge eroded monuments, bluffs, picturesque rock towers, and solitary crags.
