Wow--you have to see it to believe it. The pictures don't really convey how great the view is. We are on the top floor, with a breathtaking full-on view of the waves crashing on the beach, endless ocean, the lagoon and river, the marina, harbor and lighthouse. The view is spectacular from the oversized windows in the main living area, from the kitchen bartop, the dining area, and from the master bedroom and from the balcony. This is a full-on ocean view, not just a lagoon view or a partial view. The view is spectacular!
We have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The large balcony has access both from the living/dining area and from the master bedroom. The balcony has fantastic ocean and harbor views. The condo includes free Wi-Fi, an Xbox 360, and 3 large flat-screen TV's.
The master suite has a queen bed, a 48' flat screen TV and BluRay DVD player and it's own en-suite bathroom with a huge walk-in shower. The secondary bedroom also has a queen bed, 48' flat screen TV and even an Xbox 360 for your enjoyment--or more likely for your kids enjoyment! You can play DVD's on it as well. We have even included a few games and DVD's for your enjoyment.
The main living area includes comfortable seating, a 55' flat screen TV and a BluRay DVD Player along with oversized Panoramic Windows to take in the Fantastic Whitewater View!
The condo includes 2 prime parking spaces side-by-side in the parking garage with direct elevator access to the 4th floor where this penthouse unit is located. No footsteps above you, and very minimal foot traffic outside as well. This condo complex seems to be used as a second home by many of the owners so it's very private. Though we are very close to North Coast Village, it's a completely different atmosphere! It's a much smaller and a much more private luxury community. You can enjoy the community clubhouse with TV, Billiards (Pool Table), etc. You will also have access to the gym with it's collection of weight equipment and cardio equipment. There is a pool (currently heated from June through October only and subject to change) and a Jacuzzi heated year-round for your enjoyment. Do some grilling and enjoy the harbor and marina view from the poolside BBQ and fireplace area. We supply all the needed grilling utensils.
Inside the unit you will enjoy some rare amenities that you generally will not find all together at San Miguel condos or North Coast Village. We have Central Air Conditioning for when it gets warm as well as in-unit Laundry Washer and Dryer. This is a huge plus and I know you will enjoy it.
Please note that our rates are inclusive of all fees except for cleaning and a damage deposit. We do not charge extra for credit card payments. Hi We are Todd and Christine and we manage this gorgeous ocean-view penthouse condo. We have been married almost 20 years now and have one wonderful son. We live an hour inland and it has always been our goal to retire 'at the beach'. Until then we plan to share this unique property with others through VRBO.

We looked around and on the internet for a LONG time deciding where to retire 'at the beach'. We rented other places in the area to try it out, and have scouted around in Carlsbad Village, Solana Beach, etc. But we always kept coming back to Oceanside. We love the fact that you can walk or jog on the sidewalk right alongside the beach (or ride your bike on The Strand) all the way from south of the Pier almost all the way to the Harbor on the North side. We love being able to walk to the Coaster which means many of the other great seaside areas are just a train ride away. We can even take the train to a Padres game or to downtown San Diego or the Midway or the GasLamp District which we love! We love walking over to the Harbor to get a cup of coffee by the water or to enjoy drinks or dinner with a fantastic view!
**Update for summer 2016--There is a brand new In N Out Burger right around the corner. Literally a 5 minute walk up the driveway, on Coast Hwy. For anyone not familiar, In N Out is THE hamburger stand for Southern California. World Famous! And for good reason...delicious!
When we were ready to purchase we looked at a grand total of ONE place and we knew this was the one! The VIEW is the main reason, and also the second and third reasons. Rounding out the top 5 reasons are the look and feel of the unit and the complex, and then last but not least the location which is perfect! We love not having to take the car out of the garage. We walk or bike almost everywhere and really enjoy it!
The view. The location. Year-round heated Jacuzzi, seasonally heated pool. In-unit Central Air is a big plus in the summer. In-unit full size laundry is a year-round bonus. No more trips down to a crowded laundry room. You will love our little slice of Heaven!

A fabulous penthouse condo in Oceanside, CA just north of the pier with beautiful views of Pacific Ocean and Oceanside Harbor. The owners have paid every attention to detail in decorating and the rooms and furniture are both comfortable and tasteful. The property description is honest and accurate and the owners were fast-to-react to the two problems we encountered during our stay; customer service is outstanding in this respect. Oceanside is now a "foodies paradise" and both the Harbor and north Oceanside, where the Farmers' Market and Sunset Market are located, are all within easy walking distance. The latter is especially noted for all the food stands with most ethnic fare represented. Harbor Days, in late September, was particularly enjoyable. In summary, we would like to return many times and would recommend this condo to our families and friends without any second thoughts.

We stayed here for three months, mid December to mid March, and I fully agree with the other reviews. The condo is comfortable and comes with a fantastic view. The owners immediately respond to questions or problems in a most welcoming manner. Many places including the pier, beach, trains/buses, markets and good restaurants are within walking distance. We bicycled and ran the San Luis Rey River trail and other places such as the trail to San Inofre State Beach. For those times you just want to stay in and watch television, the TV screens and viewing choices are good. Often rentals skimp on this element. We hope to return!
Todd & Christine did a marvelous job of decorating this lovely condo with a fabulous view. They thought of every little thing you might need. Being set back from the beach made it a little quieter & more private than a beachfront property would be. Walking around the area was quite enjoyable--the beach was close, the O'side Harbor was fun to visit, and walking to the O'side Library & Farmer's Market was quick! The convenience of the Bike Trail along the river was a big plus, too. Much appreciated in the warm months of summer were the constant cool breezes off the ocean. Todd was always patient & helpful whenever we had questions during our stay.
We are outdoorsy people but this condo made us want to stay inside much of the time. The view from the huge living room window makes you feel like you are outside anyway. And watching the sunset from the balcony was an every night tradition.
This condo is "brand new" decorated and furnished and everything is lovely. The owners truly thought of everything you might need from beach items ( including a wagon) to a well supplied kitchen.
Although the condo is not right on the beach it does not matter at all! The property, including the pool, hot tub, and BBQ area is so nice we did not mind the short walk to the beach.
Oceanside is changing and for the better! It is a much better value than other coastal towns. We loved the Thursday farmers market and walks along the beach and the pier.
We look forward to a return visit.
Take a look at the map above--the river trail just out front of the condo quickly takes you to Pacific Street. From there the Marina is just across the bridge over the river. Stratford at the Harbor has fantastic (and huge) breakfasts--you've got to try the coffeecake! We also enjoy the coffee place on the water...Rockin' Baja has great Mexican Food and is perfect for watching sports too, Joe's Crab Shack is always fun and has a great view of the harbor. Dominic's has really good Italian Food and a neat little wine bar. The Lighthouse Restaurant has great views from up top and is perfect for watching the sun set over the ocean. Jolly Roger is a bit further and has a fantastic Sunday Brunch.
Or if it's the beach you are looking for the sand and beach at the head of the river is literally right there off of Pacific and the river trail. Or head down Breakwater to The Strand. There is a great beach there with a restroom and lifeguard tower, only a few minutes walk from the condo (please note that vehicle traffic on The Strand, Breakwater, and Pacific in this area is usually very very light making walking and bike riding a breeze!) Walk along the boardwalk (The Strand) to the Pier. Have Dinner at 333 or Hello Betty or ZigZag Pizza and Salads (we really enjoy these three especially) or any of the other multitude of restaurants and bars in that area. Regal Cinemas also has a movie theatre right down on Mission close to the Pier, complete with a ColdStone and more--it's a really fun beach town feel. We have a big private storage locker in the parking garage for extra boogie boards, surf boards, sand toys or anything else you bring and is going to get sandy. We've already stocked it with a wagon, boogie board, and a couple of beach chairs for you.
On Thursdays you can walk down to the local farmer's market in the morning or to the 'Oceanside Sunset Market' from 5 -9 pm. It's a huge street fair and no matter what you are looking to buy or eat it's probably there! Take in the Sunset from your private balcony or from the Lighthouse Restaurant at the Marina. Take the Coaster and explore San Diego County. Take the kids to LegoLand which is close by. Boogie Board or just relax with your toes in the sand at the very close beach. Take a bike ride around town or on the San Luis Rey trail. Rent paddle boards or waverunners at the Marina. Have a workout in the HOA gym, then take it easy in the jacuzzi or take a relaxing nap as the calming sea breezes wash over you. Barbeque some burgers or steaks or enjoy the community fireplace down by the pool. Pour yourself some coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy the whitewater view from the balcony (and the kitchen counter, and the dining table, and the family room). There is so much to do you will not want to leave. And even if you are not doing much of anything except relaxing, recharging, and enjoying the fantastic views I know you will love it!
