About Daniel Goudreau

I grew up and lived in Wisconsin all my life. I currently live in the Green Bay area yet traveled extensively for ski vacations.

I have recently retired from the manufacturing industry. Being retired young I am now looking for new ventures of interest to me. Somewhat of a ski buff for many years (including being on the ski patrol in the Midwest for the past 12 years) I am looking to help people in other ways. Being a part of setting up a Great Vacation in a Special Place is the Perfect Way for me to spend my retirement years. With my past travels I know how unsettling making reservations can be. I look forward to making it an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Daniel Goudreau purchased this condo in 2014

Why Daniel Goudreau chose Utah

I have been into down hill skiing for the better part of my life and could say it has been a passion of mine. Over the years I have been to all the major resorts in the Western U.S. and most in Canada. A couple in Europe as well. When I came to Park City I knew that is where I wanted to be. Location with convenience!

Prospector Square is an all-season resort centrally located for a wide variety of activities. They have the best snow conditions I have found anywhere. The rail trail is just out the back door for summer biking, rollerblading, hiking or just a casual walk. Winter, the rail trail is used for x-country skiing.

The phenomenal free transit system has a pickup right out side the front door and will take you anywhere you want to go in the area.

Being right where the venue is for Sundance is a major plus for my guests.

Groceries, Eating Establishments, Bars, Shops are all with close walking distance.

It doesn't get any more convenient than this property has to offer.

I have been fortunate to find such a property just remodeled to the high standard it is! Comfortable, Quiet, Great Location and Very Nicely Decorated.

What makes this condo unique

First floor location means no stair climbing and easy access to parking lot and bus stop! The kitchen is awesome, as you can see from the photo. This unit has premium characteristics at a very affordable rate. The queen bed and premium sofa sleeper assure comfortable sleeping and lounging. The The Prospector Square neighborhood is known as the most convenient vacation location in Park City, with grocery stores, restaurants, the State liquor store, and outdoor shops nearby. The complex has the new Silver Mountain Health Club on site. As a ski patroller for 12 years, the owner understands customer service, and strives to create an experience that will cause his guests to come back and enjoy Park City year after year.

Great, clean quiet place close to ski shuttle.

  • 5 of 5

We were very happy with the condo, as avid skiers we loved the shuttle picking us up in front of the complex. The full kitchen was well stocked with basic needs and really clean.

Great Value, Convenient Location

  • 5 of 5

This was a great find-- we spent four nights in February 2014, and really enjoyed our stay. Check in was a breeze, and the unit was very easy to find. Despite it being in a bigger complex, we were still able to park very close to the unit, which was nice for lugging all of our gear inside. What made this rental such a great experience was the owner-- he was incredibly responsive via email, and was very personable.

The full kitchen was great, and is something that's hard to find in a studio unit. It was very well equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, crock pot, etc. The only items I wasn't able to find were a paring knife and a cutting board, but it's possible I just didn't look hard enough. The dishwasher was also a nice bonus. No one wants to do dishes after a long day on the slopes. :)

The bedroom/living room area was nicely furnished and was plenty roomy for two people. It was nice to have the vanity separate from the toilet and shower. Our only complaint about the bathroom was that the shower head was very low, but it wasn't a big deal.

Overall, this place was a great value, and had a very convenient location. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a reasonably priced place to stay, especially if you're looking to make use of the full kitchen to minimize the amount you spend eating out, and maximize your budget for lift tickets. :)

Owner's Response: Kathryn, Thank you for the very kind words. I enjoyed the opportunity to work with you and our e-mail correspondence was great! I have since added a broiler pan to the kitchen supplies. There were 2 cutting boards some one had stored on the top shelf under the bowls. Generally I keep them in the lower right cabinet. I had to search for them myself as I knew they had to be there somewhere. The paring knife was also found. I notice things get moved around as each guest has there preferences of convince for them. At times a deeper search is in demand, yet if you don't know what is available it can be difficult to find. I enjoy the opportunity to eat in myself and the crock pot works wonders for me. Nothing like coming home from a hard day of skiing and having dinner all ready for me. Yet I do enjoy going out to many of the local eating establishments on occasion and getting the flavor of the city. It seems that all the people in Park City are so customer service friendly that it amazes me each time I go out. There are many places to choose from and sometimes an evening stroll is very enjoyable. For me the opportunity to be a part of it has been very rewarding. When it is time to leave and come back home I am always thinking of my next trip to Park City. It is a very special place. I have since added a couple chairs and small table to the deck. With spring weather it is nice to sit on the deck, relax and enjoy time passing. I am glad you had a Great Vacation and look forward to you return visit in the future. Cheers, Dan

Great value!

  • 5 of 5

Yes, it is a studio! but very well equipped as others have said. Very nice couch and bed and the two of us did not feel cramped in the least. Nice Deck ..not that one uses it in the winter, but allows for an open feel and more light.

Bus is right out the door! and the workout beautiful. We did not have the energy to use it this time @ so I am not sure what the cost is, but you get a deal with prospector. LOTS of light streams in so we spent some time just hanging there reading. :).

We love to cook and the appliances are very nice! One has the affordability of it, the ability to cook, grocery a moderate walk away or take the bus. Movie theater in striking distance....Einsteins ...etc.

We would definitely stay here again. Booking was prompt and the "welcome" package a nice perk. :)

Small thing, but I would add a broiler pan! We used the cookie sheet but it would be destroyed in short order.

AND, being picky.....I am a bath taker, so an upgrade in that arena in the future would be sweet. :)

you could do 4 would be tight but VERY inexpensive!

Owner's Response: Thank You for your Great review Lulu. I appreciate your positive feed back and your input to make your stay even more comfortable. A broiler pan is an easy fix and I will be adding one. The tub may take longer to address but it would be nice to have a jetted tub, I agree. I have since added a couple chairs and small table to the deck. With warm spring days ahead it will be nice to sit out on the deck and enjoy the sunshine. I am glad you had a Great stay as that is my end goal! Thank You and I look forward to your return visit. Dan
