LIKE TRAVELING BACK IN TIME.... TO PARIS 1925
I stayed in this apartment for 7 weeks from mid-August - early October. Marni is a very nice person and is easy to deal with. Our business was seamless and the stay was exemplary! This apartment does not feel like a vacation rental; it is nicer than most people's homes! It's sizable, CLEAN, well appointed, comfortable and convenient! The kitchen is cook friendly and fully stocked. The bathroom is sizable and updated for an apartment. The bedroom...is oval?! VERY unusual, but lovely and roomy! The living area is very bright and sunny with ample space and amenities. The entire place looks and feels like a Paris flat - an upscale one! The pictures (or lack of them) DO NOT do it justice! The entire building is quiet, CLEAN, updated and very homey. I live in NYC and would be thrilled to find a building as well done as this one! The ONLY remotely negative thing in my entire stay was that the internet/cable went out with a bit of regularity. This is NO reflection of Marni, as it was out in the entire building and area. It's just how it goes sometimes in a busy city. (Just FYI) I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you for a lovely stay!
This large apartment, retaining the style of the turn of the 20th century, was perfect for a couple of Baroque musicians. My boyfriend and I were in town for the American Bach Soloists Festival. The living room felt like a salon that we might give a concert in, so practicing there felt so natural, and quite lovely when leaving open the giant windows that led to the balconies. The kitchen provided us with all of the amenities to cook full meals for ourselves, but the apartment was also within mere blocks of great restaurants. This was a great location in the city and a beautiful home.
Marni's apartment was great. I stayed for 6 1/2 weeks. It was clean and comfortable with all the mod cons you expect (decent wi-fi, TV, blu-ray, microwave, etc). Spacious and the garden was nice.
The location was nice and central, so I could get anywhere quickly.
We enjoyed a remarkable month here and very highly recommend it. The apartment is very clean, modern (building was refurbished in the past 5 years), and beautifully furnished. It made for a very comfortable stay in the heart of the city. The owner is very accommodating and took care of all our needs plus made for a smooth move-in.
The location was ideal for us. It is centrally located in the Theater district (just west of Union Square) so most things are within walking distance. There is a MUNI bus stop immediately outside the building, which we took frequently for trips to the beach (~35 minute transit) plus 2 BART stations 10-12 minutes away by foot.
There are places to eat nearby in all directions — high-end restaurants along with cheap eats. Several take-out places are in the block and Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are 10-minute walks away. The kitchen is fully-furnished and has everything to comfortably prepare meals.
The area is generally safe, although the gritty Tenderloin area is immediately south of the apartment. There is a fair amount of street noise in the evening hours but it was mostly background noise since the apartment is on the 5th floor. The bedroom is away from the street which helped filter out any noise and allowed us to sleep very well at night.
My wife and I rented this apartment for 5 weeks, and had a very enjoyable stay. The apartment is quiet, comfortable, and well appointed. The kitchen has high quality appliances, making cooking enjoyable. Very convenient location, with Union Square and Market Street close by and public transport readily available. Difficult to get parking, so better suited to those without a car.
The owner was very responsive and easy to deal with. We tried to extend an additional month, but the apartment unfortunately had a prior booking and was unavailable.
