About the property

3 bed/ 2 bath with loft with lagoon view on 1 acre Parklike setting

There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen size beds and one with a twin bed. There is a blow up bed in the loft area which looks down into two of the bedrooms and living area. Two of the bedrooms look up into the loft (not the bed) as well. The other bedroom is private and there are pocket door between the rooms. There are 2 full baths with plenty of amenities. The kitchen is small but well equipped with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, crockpot, dishes, pans, utensils and there is an outdoor bbq as well. There are many places to sit and relax outdoors with a glass of wine or tea or feel free to walk the pathways through our calming tropical gardens of rare and exotic plants and enjoy the hummingbirds, butterflies and many other birds and nature.

More than what we expected

Five adults and a 3 year old spent 4 days together for Thanksgiving. We moved a large table and chairs stored in the dome's loft outside under the palm trees for a most memorable Thankgiving dinner. The dome was very comfortable and we felt we we were on our private retreat with remarkable surroundings including a great wading pool enjoyed by my granddaughter. We will most certainly return!

We had a wonderful stay. Jeff & Stacy were wonderful doing everything they could to make our stay the best that they could. We had technical difficulties with the internet during our stay and Jeff did everything that he could at whatever hour it was to correct the problem.

a relaxing spot in a beautiful garden and nice house

Oceanside / Carlsbad is a place nearby San Diego ( 1/2 hour cardrive) and Los Angeles ( 1 1/2 hour cardrive) so a good base to discover southern california. Oceanside / Carlsbad has more than enough facilities for a pleasant stay. The Dome is a remarkable house in a beautiful garden, completely isolated from the neighbourhood and with a marvellous view. The dome is a little bit outdated but nevertheless enough equipped to make your own meals. The beds are very good

Wonderful Hosts and an exquisite setting.

The location and hospitality were awesome. Jeff had beach toys and Boogie Boards, plus beach umbrella and beach towels. He was free with his time giving out pointers for local restaurants and beach information. The unique Dome Home was well supplied but could use a more vigorous cleaning. The base fee for the home is fair but the additional fees for more than 2 adults in a 3 bedroom home is churlish. A 3 bedroom home should have a base accommodation of at least 5. The refundable portions of the payments were refunded promptly and all communications were professional. I recommend the Dome Home to families and small groups.

Incredible Oasis!

Our stay at the DOME SWEET DOME was just perfect. All the amentities that you could want. A picture perfect peaceful yard amongst the craziness of city life. We will be back. Thank you Jeff and Suzy for your kindness. It was a pleasure meeting you both.

We are a unique private 3 bed-2 bath w/loft Dome nestled on a 1+ acre park like tropical garden! We are located within minutes to Beaches, Harbor, Pier, Sports Fishing, Lego Land, SeaWorld, Zoo, Airport, Racetrack, Missions, Shopping, Restaurants and more. Our neighborhood is very Peaceful-Quiet-Tranquil-Relaxing-Low Density-Well Established Estate Like Homes with Views and Breezes to the Ocean and Lagoon. We have a golf cart to assist with check in and check out, however, the Dome is approx. 80 steps from the private parking for 2 cars. We respect everyones privacy, however, we are available to our guests at any time..(Owners live in separate house on connecting property). We are born and raised here and will be happy to provide information about all local attractions to help make your stay a memorable one! We are a privates residence and prefer no parties or more than 6 guests on the property unless prior arrangements are made. We ask that children not be left unattended as many areas of the property could be unsafe due to prickly plants, uneven ground and water features throughout the property. We do not allow smoking or pets...
