Long’s Side is located 5 minutes south of downtown Estes Park. We are on the side of town closest to Long’s Peak, the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. Long’s Side is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with beautiful views in every direction. You have two decks plus a beautiful, new hot tub to enjoy the beauty of the Rockies!

From the back deck and hot tub you can see Long’s Peak, Mount Meeker and Twin Sisters. Watch the sun come up and hit these beautiful mountains! When the sun in the afternoon is too much, you can move out to the front porch for beautiful shade and more mountain views. Watching a blizzard or thunderstorm from the family room windows is breathtaking. Overall, there’s not a bad seat in the house!

Long’s Side’s neighborhood is perfect for getting out for a walk. The lots are large and all power lines are buried. This means perfect, unobstructed views where ever you go! From our porches, you can see your neighbors, but they are not too close. Long’s Side is on almost ½ an acre, and this is the minimum acreage for Carriage Hills. There are no busy streets to disturb your views or the quiet relaxation of the mountains. You are away from it all and able to enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, but only a short ride to some of the best restaurants, shopping and, of course, ‘The Park’!

Long’s Side has three bedrooms, each with beautiful wood, king bedroom sets, large closets and flat screen TVs. The over-sized master has a beautiful bed with metal inlays – definitely fits in with the mountain setting. The master also has a 40” flat screen TV and a wonderful sitting area with gorgeous mountain views. The sofa sleeper in the master can be used for extra sleeping area. The private bath for the master has a beautiful, new, large, walk-in shower. The second bedroom also has its own private full bath. The third full bathroom is off the hallway. Sleeping arrangements work best for up to 6 adults plus 4 small children or 2 larger children.

At the front of the house is your living room with a large 46” flat screen television and plenty of comfy seating. The couch is incredibly comfy and beautiful, an Ethan Allen sleeper sofa that can be used for extra sleeping space. The couch is complimented by two fantastic lounging chairs, leaving plenty of room for everyone.

As you move towards the back of the house, your eyes are drawn to the bay of windows in the family room that face Rocky Mountain National Park. There is a large table to seat six, plus the fireplace is at the back of the room, making for a spacious but cozy family room. This is a perfect location for sharing a bottle of wine, a rousing game of Monopoly, and a few hands of poker (or 'go fish').

The family room joins the kitchen with a small breakfast bar where you can catch a quick snack. The kitchen has every amenity needed for a great vacation. There is plenty of cookware, silverware, bowls and gadgets to ensure cooking is a breeze. Appliances include a stainless steel fridge, large oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, hand mixer, blender, and coffee maker.

Why Tanya Wojcik chose Estes Park

The views, of course. And, there's plenty of room for a great vacation. Access to town is easy, but the neighborhood has homes with .5-1+ acres, so you're not on top of each other. While you have mountain views in every direction, the neighborhood and lot are very flat, allowing more safety for kids to play plus no steep, curvy roads to contend with in winter.

What makes this house unique

There are two decks and great views in every direction. The back deck offers snow capped views of Rocky Mountain National Park. We are just outside town limits so lodging tax is 5% less than hotels or properties within town!

Amazing views!

What a wonderful house! Perfect size for two couples. The views of Longs Peak were amazing and the stargazing at night was breathtaking. Hot tub also a plus. Homeowners thought of everything and even accommodated one late request we had the night before we were to leave. Would definitely come back!

Great time at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park!

We had a group of 6 longtime friends coming from different places in the midwest and western US, and this property fit our needs wonderfully. Less than 2 hours from Denver and not even 10 minutes from the entrance to RMNP. We used the hot tub every night and we're pretty sure it helped soften the aches and pains from our 9 mile hike on Saturday. We spotted elk nearby (having binoculars at the home would have been a great addition!) and yet we were close to a grocery store and restaurants (we didn't dine out but we saw lots of options).

Clean, Spacious and Quiet with Great Views

We were lucky to stay in this home in Estes Park for our family vacation August 6-12, 2016. We are flatlanders from Iowa who love Colorado. We have stayed at several VRBO/Home Away properties in the past 10 years in EP. What a nice quiet residential area w/large yards! After being disappointed not seeing elk in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park the first day, the 2nd morning we woke up to 2 large bull elk grazing--right in the back yard!! We drank our morning coffee watching them from the deck as they bedded down in the shade to sleep for a couple hours. Later in the week we saw a mule deer doe and her twin fawns hanging out in the back yard. Husband and I had college age daughter and her friend with us, so it was perfect that everyone had their own bedroom with King bed AND their own bathroom! We had a beautiful large tile shower in the master bath, & large master bedroom with chair and pull-out sofa(which we didn't need for sleeping but was nice to have). Each bedroom also had a flat screen tv. We had some issues with the living room TV/ satellite box, and Tanya responded right away to help us find the problem. Honestly, we didn't watch much TV all week: too many fun outdoor activities in the park and around town! High speed internet/wifi was great! Kitchen has new stainless steel gas range and refrigerator, and lovely matching stoneware and mugs, and a pantry for storage, so didn't really notice that the kitchen is older- but very charming & very clean. The Keurig was great and a welcoming touch to already have some K-cups there for us. I loved curling up and reading in the comfy chair/loveseat in the fireplace room. We appreciated having laundry facilities after fly-fishing. And after hiking and horseback riding in RMNP, it was great to have the brand new Hot Tub to relax in the evening! The owners provided thoughtful conveniences for guests: a National Park pass (otherwise it would have been $30 for 7 day pass); a Rocky card for discounts to local restaurants & activities; and a Safeway savings card for groceries! Though we didn't need them, the owners even thought of a high chair and pack & play for little ones! Tanya was very responsive when booking reservations, and throughout the process. Our deposit was refunded 2 business days after we got home. Very nice experience with very nice owners. We would recommend to our friends and family!

Wonderful Family Home close to RMNP and Estes Park, Hot Tub and Beautiful Views

This is a wonderful home, very well organized and sparklingly clean. We visited from July 30-August 6, 2016. The owner was very responsive during the booking and planning process, and her small notes in the home made sure we found everything that we needed. She responded quickly and was available in case we had any questions. The views around the home are fabulous from both inside and the two decks. The new hot tub was wonderful; we had a double rainbow one evening and an elk visitor to the yard while we were in the tub the next evening. The well supplied kitchen let us enjoy family meals together, we made good use of the appliances. With three bedrooms and three full baths we had plenty of space. The lay out of the house gave privacy for the master suite, and a lot of room for lounging and reading or playing games. Several games are even available to use. Having a washer and dryer was great, and the house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, appliances, coffee, soaps, detergents, shampoos and paper products. The added park pass and Safeway savings card were very thoughtful. The house is in a quiet neighborhood only a few miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance to RMNP, and it was also convenient to downtown Estes Park. The pictures on the site show the love and care that has gone into this lovely home; we certainly hope to stay here again. I highly recommend this property, especially for families that want a home base to enjoy time together while visiting Estes Park and RMNP. Thank you, Tanya, for sharing your lovely home.

Great vacation home!

I stayed here with my parents, my brother, and my husband and two kids in July. The house was great! The bedrooms and bathrooms were very well-kept and comfortable. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, which we used for every meal. The owners were very attentive, and they made sure to check in with us after we arrived. The welcome book included all kinds of great information about Estes, and there were helpful notes around the house regarding usage of appliances, etc.

We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent facility for our family vacation

Listing was spot on accurate. Room arrangement was excellent, allowing for privacy given separation between master bedroom and other two bedrooms that were separated by a hall. Property was clearly well cleaned prior to our arrival. Owner reached out shortly after our arrival to ensure that any issues we might have (there were none) could be immediately rectified. We visited the Rocky Mountain National Park three times using the park pass that was available where we did some excellent hiking in very beautiful settings. and rode over the Trail Ridge Road (carefully! - :-) ) The children were also excited to see deer walking through the property several times during our stay. We mostly grilled using the available grill - while we had a Safeway card for grocery purchase discounts, there also was one provided in case we did not. We did like to food at Ed's Cantina. We also made good use of the hot tub.

We would unconditionally recommend this property to friends and relatives.
