Casa n. 2 degli Chalet di Raystown. Immerso in una tranquilla terra di montagna boscosa, The Sugar Maple Chalet si trova a circa 7 minuti dal lago Raystown e dal 7 Points Marina. Si trova su una vasta estensione di 53 acri privati ed è circondato da bellezze naturali. La casa è stata costruita da Will Shaw di Holidaysburg, in Pennsylvania, e offre una meravigliosa vacanza rustica offrendo allo stesso tempo tutti i comfort moderni della casa. Lo Sugar Maple Chalet dispone di armadi in noce americano Amish, ripiani in granito, pavimenti in noce e pareti in pino intricato in tutta la casa, compreso il livello inferiore completamente rifinito.

Un'ampia e accogliente suite principale con bagno privato mette in evidenza la principale zona giorno dello chalet. Una grande sala da pranzo e un ampio soggiorno completano il tema dell'open space. Un livello superiore comprende 2 camere da letto complete, un bagno completo con combinazione vasca / doccia e 2 soppalchi aggiuntivi che ospitano 2 divani letto queen size.

Il livello inferiore completato include 1300 piedi quadrati di spazio finito! All'interno del livello inferiore finito ci sono 2 camere da letto aggiuntive (2 letti singoli e 1 letto king size), un bagno completo e una sala ricreativa di 700 piedi quadrati. La sala ricreativa offre un'abbondanza di divani, 2 divani letto estraibili e una TV a schermo piatto da 60 pollici, lettore Blu Ray DVD e un tavolo da gioco / puzzle / carte.

The lodge was perfect for our large group. Much thought went into the design with plenty of rooms, beds, and bathrooms.The gravel road had some ruts, but compared to the lodge experience, this was minor. Everything we needed was there.

The cabin was lovely, spacious and gave us room to gather together but also have a quiet place to retreat. Amazing kitchen and great room. Love the big table and windows all around especially sunny in the morning. Didn’t find the chest full of toys until check out day. Probably better that way with a 7 year old.

Beautiful cabin perfect for a large family gathering. It was clean and as described. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. My only suggestion is to add a net behind the basketball court so your guests don’t have to keep chasing basketballs down the hill and into the woods.

Great property and home,. Basketball court is great until you miss, maybe a 3ft net behind the court to stop the ball. Keep the doors closed and the interior temp is cozy. Grill line was cracked, but when renting out a home, these things happen. Would definitely recommend this place and will be returning

Exceptional Experience

The property was immaculate and comfortably accommodated our group of 10. The instructions were thorough and provided for ease in the arrival and departure procedures. I highly recommend this property for the avid outdoorsman or a stay for events at Penn State.

Great Weekend in the Woods

The Chalet is a beautiful lodge. Plenty of space and great privacy. Fire pit is awesome and the stars were beautiful. Lots of wildlife to see too. Marked walking trails would be a great addition for the future.

This house was awesome. I thing to complain about we arrived and everything was ready for us. We had our boats and jetskis and had no issues Kids played on the basketball court and we had a camp fire. Truly a dream home

Perfect getaway!

This house was the perfect place to celebrate my husbands birthday with his family. 8 Adults, 5 rowdy boys (8 - 14), 3 dogs, and there was still space. The house had the most stocked kitchen our family has ever experienced in a rental. The beds were pretty comfortable and the firepit was a centerpiece for our nights. We were able to get out our telescope and see Jupiter and Saturn. It's pretty close to the Allegrippis mountain bike and hiking trails. We packed a lot into a weekend and had a blast.

Extended family retreat

Beautiful and scenic location for a family weekend getaway. Easily accessible to Raystown lake beach. House had everything we needed with the exception of propane. Would be helpful to include in listing that tanks are empty upon arrival. Otherwise the house was perfect.

Excellent property

It was close to campus which was important as we were here to celebrate our 45th Reunion from Juniata College. It was a little more costly than properties we have rented in the past . The porch was fantastic.

A great getaway in the woods!

Can't say enough about how perfect this trip was for my group of friends. We stayed for 3 nights over New Year's weekend. The location was exactly what we wanted- just remote enough that the only sounds were wildlife (and the occasional hunter at work off in the distance), but close enough to town that a trip for any missing necessities was easy. Plenty of bedrooms, fast wifi, and LOTS of space including a lower level with a TV which was perfect for providing multiple activities like videogames and New Year's Eve broadcasts/sports in tandem with the main upstairs TV. Our hosts provided instructions to make check-in and check-out easy, including detailed driving directions. Thanks for hosting us!

Perfect house for extended/large families

Very nice, clean, well designed, large, family friendly chalet at the end of a private driveway in the woods, three levels, with bedrooms and bathrooms on each level which made it a perfect stay for several adult couples/families. We were allowed to bring our dogs who loved it there too. The only comment I would make is that there was no glassware, so if you like a glass of wine with dinner, bring your own! Perfect stay, thank you!

Sugar Maple Chalet

Great cabin and very clean. Bringing your own sheets is different but not a big deal. At least you know you’re sleeping on clean sheets. The fire pit is nice and a great place to hang out. Close enough access to stores etc if needed but secluded location feeling at the cabin. I would recommend anyone stay here if you’re looking for a place near Raystown. We didn’t boat during the stay but there’s lots of parking if you decide to bring one. An overall great stay and weekend.

Beautiful peaceful escape

We had a wonderful time with our family. The house was clean and comfortable and the setting was very private. Several beautiful place to hike, swim, boat, and fish nearby. The owner was very responsive if we had any questions.

After the Chocolate Moose Chalet became a resounding success over the last few years and we have been unable to keep up with demand, we decided to buy a large tract of land and begin building more properties. The Sugar Maple Chalet is the first property within our new tract of land that we plan on continuing to build a few more homes on to fulfill demand for our properties.

53 Private Acres! The home boasts SPRAWLING size (3700 sq foot) privacy, a 1200 sq foot wrap around covered porch, along with a fire pit, and spaciousness everywhere you turn. As you sit on the porch in the evenings, with the lights turned down low on the porch, it doesn't get much better than seeing the lightning bugs flash in the woods while enjoying a glass of wine with good conversation between family and friends. BASKETBALL COURT, ARCADE, BAR, PRIVACY!!!!
