We very much enjoyed our stay!! Spacious, gorgeous woodwork, wonderful location, awesome deck, very clean, best house on the block! Mr. Vaughn was extremely nice and helpful in answering questions as well. We would definitely go back!!
There were many things we loved about this place. Very conveniently located and surrounded by pines. The floor plan and amount of space was excellent. The décor was mountain style but not overdone. The vaulted ceiling was beautiful and we loved the chandelier over the dining room table. We didn't find the air conditioner, if there was one, but we never needed it - the weather was perfect! We spent most of our time outside on the deck. Be sure to play "Shut the Box" if you stay here (it's on the coffee table and we really enjoyed it).
I only gave this place an average rating because the house really needs some repairs and updating, as well as a thorough deep cleaning. There were a few things that didn't work well - however, the beds were clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of seating with very comfy furnishings. The downstairs room was very musty, but we all chose to stay upstairs and still had plenty of room. Over all, we had a great time here.
Overall experience was good. House needs a few upgrades to make it to 5 stars. Garbage disposal did not work and as we used the dishwasher food from past clients came up through the sink. In all fairness the owner knew nothing about this and when I let him know the problem, there was a handyman there within a couple of hours. So GREAT customer service by the owner. The outdoor wooden deck has a couple of weak spots that makes you nervous to walk on. Fridge/stove/microwave could see being replaced. Really nice location with river right across the street. Great wildlife: saw elk, turkey and deer.
We truly enjoyed your house and our grandchildren loved the river being right across the street. We were pleased with all the room- only disappointed that there were no trash bags or dishwashing soap in stock. We enjoyed the deck and the beautiful, refreshing weather. We would certainly stay there again.
This was a great weekend getaway destination for a birthday celebration for my mother in law. parking and entry was easy in and out on the main level. We spent most of our time on the lovely decks and enjoyed the fresh mountain air in the mornings with a cup of coffee and at night with a glass of wine. You can't bottle those wonderful smells and the crispness of the mountain air but if you could this place has an abundance of both.
Well stocked, convenient to town and remote enough to feel like a real mountain getaway
The property was clean and location was convenient. Fresh and clean linens and more than enough room for a large family.
It just looks very old but again all other properties in that area are very old too.
