Perfect get-away for 2 couples

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is lovely! It is very well stocked and very well designed, and the setting is gorgeous. No washer and dryer for short-term use, which we somehow missed in the pre-arrival info. The road is pretty heavily trafficked, so not a great location for running or exercising, but drinking wine is more fun anyway! I would absolutely stay here again! Host is responsive and gracious.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. To be perfectly clear, the house is on a very small private drive and not on a busy road. This drive is off of Warm Spring Road which is generally not a highly trafficked road. At certain times this road can get traffic, but it is also a road that is very much on the bikers list of great roads to travel on and is used by many weekend warriors for running and biking. I just wanted to make potential future renters aware that this is a very quiet environment on a very private drive. Also, while I don't usually offer up the laundry facilities to groups renting for just a couple days, it can be made available with advanced request. In the 2 years I have been renting the house, only once has a weekend renter requested use of the laundry. I am very flexible and willing to accommodate such requests.

The farm house exceeded our expectations and was everything that was advertised, plus some! We will definitely tell all of our friends about it and schedule a return visit!

Impeccable attention to detail

  • 5 of 5

I thoroughly enjoyed a lovely escape at this gorgeous property. No detail was overlooked; from the beautiful design and resort style luxury to the recommendations from Scott and his foresight and consideration of every amenity. Friends and I enjoyed the central location for wine country excursions while appreciating the private, quiet and natural surroundings for a walk, run or simply sitting on the patio for breakfast or a glass of wine. I look forward to future escapes with even more "il dolce far niente!"

A perfect getaway spot just like in the movies!

  • 5 of 5

This place is absolutely stunning! Just remote enough to enjoy deer and wild turkeys in the yard every evening; but close enough to all of the sights of Sonoma County (and Napa too). We were greeted with jazz piano music on an iPod, fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and assorted goodies. Scott is a diligent and courteous host; communication was spot on. The house itself was well stocked with nearly everything we could even think of needing. The kitchen, especially, had many of the "essentials" that make cooking at home seem feasible. The house also came with a high-end gas grill that inspired us to get some steaks and local vegetables. The living room and bedrooms were stylish, comfortable and relaxing. But our favorite spot was the patio, with a gas fireplace to take the chill off the evenings. Truly one of the high points of a glorious week in wine country!

This home is simply tremendous. The location is very convenient to so many wineries along with the other attractions this region has to offer (I highly recommend a day trip to Bodega Head). The property is tucked in from the road and feels very secluded. The deer and turkeys we woke up to daily would probably agree. The home itself is beautifully appointed, yet very comfortable. We both slept really well in the extremely comfortable king sized bed. The kitchen, bath and living rooms are also gorgeous. The patio is very large and gets a lot of sunlight. The koy fish are very cool as well. We're so happy to have stayed here!
