2 Bedroom 1 Bath Home Nestled In Quiet Neighborhood Near Beach, Markets, Food
Adorable remodeled bungalow located close to all! The kitchen has nice white cabinetry with granite counter tops. Sparkling bathroom with tile surround and flooring. Bedrooms have cozy mattresses on the beds for a good nights sleep. 2 queen size beds and a pull out sofa allows for up to 5 guests. Wood flooring through out the house and modern furnishings for that clean look. We have free WiFi and cable should you feel the need to check your email or need to catch up on work while here.
The backyard is spacious and equipped with a BBQ grill, firepit and dining set for 6 so you can enjoy our beautiful Southern California weather year round. There are fruit trees, a vegetable garden with herbs for your convenience. The backyard is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. 2 cool hammock lounges for an afternoon nap or just soaking up the sun.
We have 4 acult beach cruisers a childs bike (we do not provide helmets and it is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to ride without a helmet so please bring one if needed), a John Deere wagon, beach chairs and sand toys in the garage for your use.
Our home is located on a quiet neighborhood street and is walkable to beaches, coffee shops, markets, restaurants and nightlife or feel free to take the beach bikes in the garage to Carlsbad Village for shopping and more beaches and restaurants. Oceanside Pier is only 2 miles away. Take a sunset walk down the long wooden pier to see the fishermen pulling in the nights catch or grab a milkshake at Ruby's diner at the end of the pier. There is a playground on the sand by the pier for vacationing children and lots of fun things to do. The choices are endless when staying at this wonderful home. About Debbie Rumsey
John is a native San Diegan and has spent the majority of his life in North County. Debbie grew up in Phoenix and has been fortunate call North County home for the past 30+ yrs. We have raised 2 children here and absolutely love where we live and look forward to sharing our knowledge of the area with anyone needing information or suggestions. We enjoy going to the beach whenever possible, hiking, and skiing in the local mountains during the winter.

When we saw this house for sale we immediately knew we had to own it. We absolutely loved it and used it as a long term rental for many years. The architecture is unique and the location is superb so we decided we wanted to share this love for our home with visitors!
What makes this House unique
One of the things we loved about this home, besides its architectural lines, was the fact that the home is on one street and the detached garage is located on the next street over so the house is accessible from 2 different streets and has plenty of parking.

Staying here made our vacation perfect. The house had everything we needed and was super comfortable. Beaches, shops and restaurants were all nearby. Debbie was very helpful when we had payment questions. We can highly recommend this destination.

Enjoyed our stay in this cute two bedroom close to the beach, markets and restaurants. We used the bikes provided one evening to ride down to the pier. Oceanside has great well lit mult-use paths and dedicated bike lanes that allow both bikes and skateboards. Cross the lagoon and you’re in downtown Carlsbad. Great place and we hope to return. Easy check in and out and owners communicate well on the details you need to know.
GREAT beach rental - VERY conveniently located
Loved this rental. Cute house, had everything we needed. Owners were so nice and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Location is PERFECT. Nice walk to downtown Carlsbad, close to beach and lots of small restaurants, pubs & coffee houses in south Oceanside . Use of bikes, boogie boards & beach towels were nice added bonus!
Great property and Location.
The cottage was wonderful a nice touch of Ocean life. Access to the beach was a short walk away. And the ships in the area make you feel like that serenity you seek is in grasp.

Great house in a great location
We stayed here for 4 nights in August. A lovely quiet, comfortable house with everything you need, we loved the garden with its little humming birds. Debbie was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.
Located on the border of Carlsbad and Oceanside, our home gives you a huge variety of choices of beaches, restaurants, nightlife and activities. Walk to the beach, Red and White Market or Cream of the Crop Market, Angelo's Burgers, Kona Hut Coffee, Don's Cafe for Breakfast, Beach Break Cafe, The Urge Gastropub, The Privateer Coal Fired Pizza, Hungry Hunter steakhouse, local live music at The Pour House, and many other places. The Village of Carlsbad is 1 mile away and has many fantastic restaurants and shops. There are beach bikes, beach chairs, a wagon and sand toys in the garage for your use.(Children under 18 are required to wear helmets as per California law.) BBQ on the back patio and enjoy dining outside near the fire pit. Enjoy fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs from our backyard garden. Drive to the Oceanside Pier (2.2mi) and maybe you'll see a surf contest. Walk the Pier and have a milkshake at the end of the Pier at Ruby's Diner. Try your hand at fishing off the Pier while you are there! We are 10 minutes to Legoland and 1 hour to Disneyland. 2 minutes to I-5 and I-78. Take the train to downtown San Diego Gaslamp Area for a night out on the town or take it to a Padres baseball game.. This is a perfect location for all of your vacation needs!
