Beautiful place on penthouse level of North Coast Village. Sitting on the top floor there are two balconies. In addition to the view balcony off the living room, top floor units have an extra large sun deck off the master bedroom. Being on the top floor means the best views and no feet knocking around above you.

If you have never been to North Coast Village, it is the jewel of San Diego. We manage a handful of properties here and the majority of our customers are repeat. It is hard to find a nicer place on the ocean.

This unit is nicely furnished with a beach vibe. We have stocked it to be ready for romantic couples, or for a family (including items like beach chairs, boogie boards, a pack-n-play if you have 'little ones', etc.)

The complex is walking distance to the Pier right along the sand (0.30 miles), walking distance to the Harbor (about 0.25 miles). Within that walking distance are restaurants, movies, eclectic coffee spots, etc. We still recommend a car to adventure out to the other attractions around San Diego.

Parking is gated, under the building, and your spot is assigned!

Perfect family vacation!

Beautiful condo, incredible location. The condo was clean and comfortable. The beach towels, chairs and boogie boards were very helpful. My kids loved the pool/ hot tub and dining at Ruby's on the pier.

My husband and I loved the wale watching tour and the dining at the harbor. We all love the beach there!

S2S Steps 2 Sand. Unit F307.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Unit 307. It was very clean (important to me) and the decor was pleasant and the views most enjoyable! We loved opening the doors on both floors, seeing the moon over the ocean, sunsets, harbor and marsh life. It was very quiet. I talked to someone who was staying in a Unit near the pool and they told a different story (seems Arizona schools are on vacation in October). We encountered a few minor problems along the way, but cannot say enough about the manager (Bill Batchelor). He simply could not do enough for us. Plus, they are continually updating and improving this unit. We are hoping the price doesn't go up too much, as we'd very much like to return!

Excellent, Clean, Walkable

Lovely stay. We bounce around trying different condos when we come to NCV (12 years now). A few years ago we stayed in this condo, but it was booked the next couple years. This year we came back. We always come in October. The weather is usually good, the rates are lower, and the crowds are gone. Over the last couple years the owner has made many changes. We had to compare it to our past vacation photos. All new stainless appliances, new TVs and ceiling fans in every room. New sofa and love seat too. We love the location because we love the beach walks and that everything in town is close enough to walk to. We could not get the internet to work, but the manager (Bill?) showed up within 45 minutes and got us going (we are seniors and not technology folks). All around another nice trip.

Great Stay

We had a great time and loved staying here! The place was clean and nice. We loved how it had a few beach chairs and boogie boards. The views were pretty! Also it had ceiling fans in all the rooms and a few extra fans which made it nice for sleeping at night. We would definitely come back and stay here.

Loved. the place very cleen

Very clean,,would have loved higher chairs on the upper deck,so you can see over railing.

One chair was broken and on the webside it showed Lounge chair that where not there.

Overall great place to stay enjoyed every minute,beautiful view

Owner's Response: Hello Renate, Thank you for the 4 star review. The rip in the patio chair was brought to our attention a couple weeks ago. Funny you suggest higher chairs on the deck. Rather than the spending the money to repair the single patio chair (we looked into this and it costs more to repair than the chair costs new), we just spent about $1,300 on a complete new set - six seat bar-height set for the top deck. It was installed on Thursday 10/12. We will try to get new photos up quickly showing the new set.

old and broken

This condo is in need of serious repairs and updates. There were no lounge chairs. The upper balcony is huge but only had a table and 4 chairs and one of the chairs had a huge rip in it and could not be used. There was also a hole right at the front of the upstairs balcony that we had to be careful to avoid so we would not break out ankles. The only comfortable bed was the twin bed. The other beds were old and lumpy. The art work was laughable (we actually laughed at most of the items hanging on the walls). Both showers had broken tiles that were just caulked back into place, broken. The ceiling fan did not work upstairs. I have stayed in about 15 other condos over the years at NCV and this was my least favorite. The condo did not have many kitchen items that others have. We barely had enough silverware for each meal and there were only 5 bath towels yet the place can sleep 6. We were there for 9 days so of course I had to wash towels a few times. The one star I do give this review is for the view. It was amazing from the balconies. It is a shame they don't put some money into this rental since it is in such a prime location. I will not be renting this condo again.

Owner's Response: I hope others will take this review with a grain of salt and see all the reviews. We are a little perplexed. The "hole" in the upstairs deck is the rain-drain below the rubber matting. These drains exist on all upper decks. The queen and king mattresses are both Serta and only about one year old. Oddly, the twin bed is older and this is the one the guest preferred. The fan works (confirmed) and perhaps the guest did not find the switch (next to the master closet instead of when you walk in where you would expect it). We will add a label to the switch to make that more clear. We will review the kitchen stock. It might be time to add more items. We appreciate the feedback on that item. Extra towels are in the closet downstairs bathroom, but when that door is standing open, it does block the linen closet and it can be missed. Indeed, there are no lounge chairs on the deck. So much could have been addressed by a simple phone call as we are less than a mile away. We are sorry the guest had questions or concerns that we were unaware of. We are very responsive when given the chance.
