Stunning view!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great weekend here! All I wanted to do was sit on the porch and enjoy the view. But the house was also comfortable, clean and lovely. Ed and Laura were very kind and accommodating. We intended to spend a lot of time in Asheville but we ended up enjoying Waynesville and, honestly, the house so much more that we spent most of our long weekend close by.

Great trip! I highly recommend this lovely home for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Unbelievably Good Views and Beautiful House!

  • 5 of 5

This house truly lives up to the description and it a beautiful place to relax. It is very well kept and there is so much room. The covered wraparound porch is huge and the views on either side of the house are very different. It's incredible waking up every morning to seeing the sun catching the peaks of the ridges around Maggie Valley and watching the fog fill the valley towards the east. The kitchen had plenty of room and made it easy to cook and the recliners upstairs were some of the most comfortable I've ever used. It's almost difficult not to relax being here, the view out of every window on the north and west side of the house is almost surreal. This was definitely the perfect place to go and relax. Once you're there, you'll have a hard time wanting to go anywhere else because you won't want to leave. I'm very glad that I decided to stay here and certainly hope to be back again in the future!

Breathtaking views, beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

The home we stayed in is known as "Heaven's Balcony". When we saw the views from the porch for the first time, we knew how it got it's name. After an adventurous 2.5 mile drive up the mountain, we arrived and it immediately felt like home. The house was clean and well-kept with plenty of room. There was a comfy recliner sofa and chairs in the living room with a big tv, nice king- size bed in the main bedroom with en suite bathroom. The kitchen had all the appliances you'd need plus a washer and dryer as well. But the best part of the home was the large wraparound porch with those spectacular views. Plus there are some great shops and restaurants a short drive away. We enjoyed our time in Maggie Valley and will definitely be back!

Great house. I slept very well there and enjoyed the beautiful views!!

Ed and Laura were very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

If you go, take your own bath soap and toilet paper. Everything else was well stocked.

Pictures don't do it justice

  • 5 of 5

We had a great opportunity to experience Heaven's Balcony. The pictures really don't do justice to the amazing view. Sunset over the mountains is truly amazing, and the hosts have done a great job in landscaping to attract plenty of birds and butterflies. Very peaceful setting. Only warning is that the drive up -- and down -- is extremely steep. Use low gear, and preferably bring a 4-wheel drive. The view is worth the drive, just be prepared.

Perfect stay with an amazing view!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property the week of July 17, 2017, and it was perfect for our family of three. The directions and instructions were correct and easy to follow. The house was well-kept inside and out, exceptionally clean and well-appointed. Bed linens and towels were provided and they were very nice. The master bedroom with its own bath, a huge family room, kitchen, dining room and a 1/2 bath are upstairs. Downstairs, there is a bedroom with two twin beds, a media/game room and a full bath, which was the perfect space for our teenage son. The best part, as everyone has noted, is the view of Maggie Valley and the surrounding mountains. Sunrises and sunsets on the porch are breath-taking. There are also lots of birds, squirrels, and chipmunks to watch if you want to hang out there all day and, if not, rafting, shopping and dining are close by. We very much enjoyed our time on Heaven's Balcony and are truely grateful to the Huffs for sharing their amazing home with us!
