Incredible views! Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

It truly is one of the best views in Maggie Valley! We have stayed at quite a few cabins in the Smokies, and this by far was one of the best views. We woke up one morning to find at least 12 turkeys hanging around outside. It is a great place to get back to nature. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable. Even after a full week, we weren't ready to leave. My 14 year old son said it was one of his favorite vacations, as he had his own Man Cave on the bottom floor as he calls it. The owners are super nice. We will stay here again in the future!

Owner's Response: Thanks for leaving a review. We also hate to leave every time we go, no matter how long we stay. It is so nice to read reviews like yours, as it makes our efforts worthwhile. Our cleaning people said everything was very clean for someone staying a week. We have been so blessed to have good people staying in our home. I'm glad to know you are planning to come back. You are welcome anytime. Thanks again for choosing Heaven's Balcony. We look forward to your return.

The property listing description is accurate and the 180 degree view of Maggie Valley is AWESOME during both the daytime and the nighttime. Since we were visiting during December and it was extremely cold outside during our stay, we enjoyed relaxing by the gas fireplace, watching NetFlix movies on the 60" television and sitting in the electric loveseat. The best part is that all these things can be done while also enjoying the spectacular mountain views through the sliding glass doors located on each side of the gas fireplace. We found the house to be clean, well maintained and nicely laid out. The kitchen has a nice assortment of accessories, dishes, pots and pans. We enjoyed the property and view so much that we opted to cook all of our meals at the house instead of going out to eat. We traveled the fifteen minutes to Ingles in Waynesville the day after we arrived to purchase groceries and then never left the mountain again until we departed for home. We would definitely recommend this rental for quiet, relaxing getaway.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your kind review. Not everyone takes the time in this fast paced world. I knew you would love the views even in the winter time. That was one of the major reasons for us buying this house. You can sit at the dining room table with all of the blinds open and see almost 180 degrees and clearly see the northern 1/2 of Maggie Valley. In the winter when you were there you can actually see more. I'm also glad to know you had everything you needed to stay on the mountain and cook. We appreciate the time you took to write the review and for taking good care of our home. We look forward to you coming back.

Breathtaking!

Heaven's Balcony was as described and more! The view(s) were amazing. The house was not only spacious, but comfortable and cozy as well. My wife and I highly recommend this for a getaway for any number of days. On our way home, we talked about how soon we might be able to return.

Owner's Response: Phyllis I just realized that I never responded to your review. thank you so much. I like your comment about being a good place to get alone with God. That is what attracted me to Maggie Valley over 30 years ago and God blessing us with this house after all these years is a perfect reward on this earth. I have to be careful not to love his creation more than him. His creation is truly awesome and if we look we can see him in it. Help us Lord to take the time to see you and spend time with you in this crazy busy world. Sorry it took so long to respond. Merry Christmas Phyllis. It is so nice to be able to say that now without Government oppression . God Bless America the land that I Love.

Exactly as described! Beautiful location, pristine house!

  • 5 of 5

As others have stated, this is by far the cleanest and best kept rental I've visited. The furniture is high quality, kitchen very nicely equipped, and everything was very well maintained. The house is well laid out and very comfortable. And the view... we spent several hours each day on the porch enjoying the breeze and view.

I highly recommend this property.

Perfect place

  • 5 of 5

Stayed end of May '16. Very nice house in very nice location. No surprises - all just as described. Wrap-a-round Porch views are crazy good. Rooms very large - esp great room / dining room. Beds v. comfortable. Nice bath. Fireplace works. Buy groceries at supermarket in Waynesville or much more basic Dollar General on Maggie Valley main drag before you head on up - wont want to leave the view just to go back down to buy food once you get there. M/V sure wasn't much. But short drive to Waynesville gets you to several very good restaurants and nice shops. Short drive to entrance to Blue Ridge Parkway. 100x longer but 1000x better way to kill a day getting to Asheville

Owner's Response: Thanks John for leaving a great review. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond, but life has been pretty crazy lately. I am finally catching up a little. We feel the same way every time we come up for a visit, we have a hard time leaving, no matter how long we have been here. We are actually here now enjoying our stay and keeping up with maintenance. We look forward to your return. Ed
