Excellent location with huge backyard beach!
Unique set up with the two “houses” worked well for our family. The 3 teen girls got the bedroom house (queen bed, pullout, half bath, outdoor shower) We got the main house (no bedroom, pullout, 3/4 bath). The living area, kitchen, and dining areas were gorgeous! Although it was probably the most comfortable pullout I’ve slept on, it’s still a pullout, and after 6 nights, I was definitely missing my bed. The best part was the location and huge private beach. The access was nice, but needs to be trimmed back. (We were getting snagged by branches going up and down the stairs.)
The 2-lane traffic between Haleiwa and the North Shore can get a bit crazy, but living here allowed us to beat most of it in the mornings and have a shorter commute when it was crowded. So many things to do in this area, definitely recommend getting out and seeing it! The shark cage, snorkeling, luau, hiking, and shopping were all great! And being welcomed home by spectacular sunsets and sweet Banzai, the cat, was a nice bonus too!
Make sure you have the instructions and codes for entry before you get there, it was a slight inconvenience waiting... and waiting... at the gate for this information, but when it finally opened, it was a beautiful place to call home! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous place on the Pipeline, we had an awesome vacation!!
Wonderful family vacation
It’s exactly as described. On the beach, gorgeous view of the pipeline, has everything you need to have a relaxed and recharging time on the North Shore. Clean, well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Easy instructions on getting in and out. Within a short walk of food trucks and Foodland for supplies, short drive to Ted’s Bakery. Had one of the best family vacations here and would definitely return.
Loved our stay!
Everything was as presented. I didn't realize the bedroom was actually a different structure but turned out to be a wonderful surprise and blessing. Bonzai, the outdoor house cat was a special treat! We fell in love with her right away. My oldest daughter who is allergic to cats was pleasantly surprised when she had no problems with her usual swollen and itchy eyes symptoms. It was a little hot so we're thankful the house had air conditioning and the shade from the passing clouds always arrived right on time!
We stopped at the store in Honolulu and purchased beach chairs and snorkel gear before arriving. We left the chairs for the next visitors to use. The house did have snorkel gear already for 2 people that worked wonderfully! The beach was almost a private beach in that there were not many people ever on it. The waves crashed right on shore so we only took floaties out and went past the break. Snorkling at Shark's cove was wonderful, surf lessons closer in to town (Haleiwa) from Surf N Sea (ask for Karen) was fun and a highlight. The kids even saw and surfed with sea turtles by their side. Ha, Breath of Life show at the Polynesian Cultural Center was fabulous!
The queen bed is hard and not comfortable but you're on the beach so hey, give and take! Showering in the outdoor shower at night under the moon was a special almost spiritual experience. One not to be missed! I forced my son to use the outdoor shower one evening and he thanked me afterwards.
The house comes fully stocked with every dish and baking pan you could ever need. The refrigerator could have been colder. All-in-all, we really enjoyed the house and our stay and would not hesitate to return, re-book the house and stay again!
Sweet spot on the North Shore.
Perfect spot to enjoy the lovely North Shore. We were sad to leave and will be back for sure. Air conditioning was a treat on hot afternoons. Front porch is a sweet spot to watch the ocean/sunset protected from sun & rain. Outdoor shower is one of my many favorite parts of the trip.
Didn’t want to leave!!
Everything from location to amenities were perfect!! We are going to miss the sunsets and Banzai, the cat!!
