This 3 BR, 1.5 bath adorable home is the perfect site for your family vacation. A large inviting wrap around porch takes you back to a bygone era.
The porch has a table and chairs for lunch, and a hammock that is perfect for an afternoon nap. It also offers sheltered parking for your bikes, and beach toys.
Enjoy relaxing in the huge yard. Play croquet or badminton, the shed has both ready for your use.
On the patio next to the deck there is a Webber gas grill with an attached side burner that is perfect for boiling lobsters.
The cottage has plenty of space for the whole family to congregate, and plenty of spaces to quietly get lost in a good read.
The beds are new. The wood floors have just been refinished, and the kitchen is being updated this winter with new cabinets, and a granite countertop.
Cannon Hill Rd is just across the street from PB Boulangerie Bistro (the lower Cape's only proper French bistro), and The South Wellfleet General Store (gourmet prepared foods, Boars Head sandwiches and organic produce).
We are just over a mile from Lecount Hollow Beach (ocean side), and about 2 miles from Burton Baker Beach (bay side). After a day in the sun and surf there is an outdoor shower to rinse the salt and sand off when you get home.
You will find the house outfitted better than most. The kitchen has restaurant quality: pots, pans, and knives. There is a blender, toaster, microwave, popcorn maker, coffee maker and grinder.
The living room has a HD television and Blu-Ray player. There is a stereo with a CD player and an input for your MP3 player or phone.
I have tried to include everything you will need on your Cape Cod vacation. My goal was to create a space that your family will enjoy as much as mine does.
I've always loved Wellfleet for its beaches, art galleries, and proximity to the Rail Trail. Pine Cottage offers a near-perfect location to take advantage of all the town has to offer, and then, at the end of the day, provides a quiet, charming retreat equipped with hammocks, lobster pots, books, cozy couches, and a screened-in front porch. The kitchen is well-equipped and the house is decorated with many interesting vintage pieces --- my kids especially liked the manual typewriter. There was ample space for seating 6 for dinner (although there are so many good restaurants around that we didn't eat at home very often). Matt was friendly, communicative, and helpful in identifying what was available in the house and what we would need to bring. He also provides an extensive list of things to do and information about the area, available both electronically and the old-fashioned way. The bedrooms are small but comfortable: all are located up a fairly steep set of stairs, so be cautioned about that. The downstairs area is very comfortable, and on one memorable stormy day, we enjoyed sitting on the porch and cuddling on the sofa listening to the rain and reading some of the many excellent books stuffed onto the bookshelves. My only concern is the intersection onto Route 6 as you leave the neighborhood. If you tend to go left toward Truro and Provincetown more often than you go right toward Harwich and Chatham, learn patience. The traffic can be heavy, even after Labor Day.
My husband and I have been coming to Cape Cod for years and staying in various rental properties.
Generally the experience was but average, so it would not make much difference where our next rental is.
We were amazed to find ourselves in this exquisitely decorated lovely cottage.
Every little detail was thought out; from the top of the line cookware to plateware; from a great stereo system to a heated shower outside! Table games galore; cook books in the beautifully done fully staffed kitchen had been a wonderful surprise. As you go from room to room you 'll feel more and more at home. The wraparound porch with its cozy play corner lends itself to enjoying the outdoors in any weather. The property is very well situated and lovingly tended by the owner. During our stay we got to see a flock of wild turkeys walking around. Having never seen one up close, this was yet another delightful surprise for us!
This cottage is a dream and we would not consider staying anywhere else.
My husband and I rented this adorable cottage for a long week- end. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home, very clean, cozy & charming.
It is furnished so tastefully & the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could want. Very nice yard & great outdoor shower! The location is perfect right off Rt. 6 but on a quiet dead end road, close to beaches & downtown Wellfleet.
We only wish we could have stayed longer!
The week was very nice and enjoyed the backyard and deck.
The Pine Cottage is well-kept and stocked with fun stuff to do for kids (beach toys, lawn games, puzzles) and adults (hammocks!). The backyard is spacious and beautiful, with a great deck for eating outside and looking at the stars at night.
The location is perfectly situated between the ocean and the bay, with easy access to both.
Matt did a great job setting everything up for us, and making sure we had all the info we needed for both the property and local dining and attractions. We would happily stay there again, as this property was a big part of a great Wellfleet vacation.
We just returned from our second summer spending a week at this house, and we'll be sure to return again next summer. It's simple, peaceful, relaxing ... and it's especially perfect for families with younger children (we have a 5yo, 8yo and 10yo). We especially love the back deck with fresh herbs, large table, and grill for relaxing outdoor meals, and the large wraparound screened-in front porch. The house also has everything you need. Our kids especially love all the toys and games! You can't go wrong renting this house!

Please note we rent our place Sunday to Sunday. This is by far the best choice. #1 there is no traffic getting to Wfleet on Sunday, you can leave Boston at noon and be in Wfleet around 2pm. #2 when you get to Wellfleet there won't be any line to get a beach sticker(sat can be 2+ hours). #3 as long as you are on the road headed home by noon you won't have much of any traffic headed off cape either
