Many activities in one place with amazing views and a very peaceful environment.
Outdoor adventures and Ocean Front View with private beach access.
Stayed at the house over Thanksgiving. There were 9 of us total (7 adults and 2 children). The house was so huge and spacious. Perfect for our large group. The view was amazing, we all didn't want to leave and it was so sad when the weekend was over. Even if we had some rainy days there was so much to keep us occupied. We had hours of enjoyment with the pool table and the air hockey. We all had a wonderful time! Booking the house was easy and Bruce went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.
We had a lovely stay in this house with our large group of 8 adults and 6 kids between the ages of 4 and 10. The house is situated in a nicely wooded neighborhood; there was plenty of space and the decks and yard were wonderful to take advantage of. We viewed several bald eagles from the property throughout our stay, and the more spry members of the group strolled down to the beach a couple times a day. It's accessible to most by way of the street, but gets a little steep. Our children loved playing on the beach, even if it was a little cold for most of us to get in, and we enjoyed trying out the kayaks.
The house itself was wonderful with its double grills, large kitchen, expansive great room. The owner was easy to work with and extremely understanding when a member of our group accidentally broke a bathroom towel rack. We would definitely stay here again.
What a great place to wake up and roll over and look at your view! Beautiful house with all the amenities you would need. Our adult kids had a blast with the games downstairs. Tournaments all weekend long. Had a nice walk on the beach with our grandson who decided to not listen and jump on the big rocks and fall into the water!! Lucky it's only a short walk back to the house :). We would so stay here again.
Thank you for sharing your house with us.
Our foursome rented this house again for our annual golf trip. We enjoyed our stay so much last year, that renting again was an easy decision. The house is perfect for golfers as each person has their own sleeping areas. We love to BBQ, and enjoyed the views from the patio while grilling. The house is 5 minutes from two great golf courses - Loomis Trail and Semiahmoo. In addition to these courses, within 30-50 minutes you can be at Shuksan, Bellingham North, Avalon, Eaglemont, Sudden Valley and Homestead golf courses. Having a pool table gave us more opportunities to place small wagers on our "abilities" or lack thereof. The Market at Birch Bay Square was the best place to pick up provisions. See you next year.
We rented this home last weekend. We were hosting a family reunion to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday at the Semiahmoo Resort. Some family members stayed at the resort and some at this home which is just a five minute drive away. The water views from the main living areas of this home and its large deck and patio are stunning. The house was clean and very well equipped. There was plenty of room for our large group and our kids enjoyed the game tables. The owner was very responsive and easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this house to others.
We stayed at this property in late August for a family get-together, with kids aged 3 to 12 & adults. The house is in a beautiful setting overlooking White Rock, B.C. with a lovely water view. Two decks offer plenty of seating to view the sunsets & various seating areas, gazebos at the back of the house also provided quiet places to wander & relax. We used the house as a home-base while we visited Birch Bay area to clam, crab, kayak, visit the waterslides, etc. We took advantage of the well-equipped kitchen for breakfast & dinner; & found it to have almost everything we needed, with plenty of dishes and cooking supplies. There was even a pot large enough to cook up all the crab & clams we harvested. We probably overpacked bringing our own supplies, not knowing exactly what to expect. A small pantry had all the basics for cooking, like S&P, spices, oil, etc & fridge had condiments so next time, we'd leave our supplies at home. The house is spacious, with lots of separate visiting areas inside & out, perfect for a get-together like this as it provides quiet spaces for those who wish to chill, while kids can have fun playing ping pong table in the lower game room. We were able to accommodate 12 at the dining room table, with enough chairs from other rooms. The beds/bedrooms were comfortable & convenient to bathrooms. I was in touch with the owner, Bruce several times during the research/booking/planning stage & he was always most accommodating & helpful.
It is truly rare to have a place that can offer multiple attractions in one family vacation, just to name a few here:
- Whale watching tours have a launching point at nearby Semiahmoo resort conveniently, the unique almost from outer space songs orcas exchanging in the ocean are simply unforgettable.
- North Cascades National Park is about 2 hours away, one of the less known hidden gems comparing to some other national parks
- San Juan Islands aren't that far off into the pacific ocean, take a ferry to see the lavender fields can be an enchanting trip
- The boarder is literally minutes away, check out Vancouver during your stay
- Even local parks like Whatcom Falls can be a perfect day trip for a family with young children, beautiful quiet and it's free.
- http://www.tulipfestival.org/ if your vacation happens to be in the month of April, you don't want to miss the color-rich tulips fields which is about 53 miles away
- If you did not arrive from Seattle airport, a day trip to the big city can be full of excitements.
- Book a deep sea fishing trip and capture some pleasant surprises for your dinner table
It is a nice list of enjoyments awaiting.
