Beech Bears is a beautiful 5 bedroom home located approximately 1/2 mile to ski slopes of Ski Beech. Hardwood floors in the living room, leather sofas, large flat screen TV and gas fireplace provide a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Wood floors flow into the kitchen with dishwasher and microwave and breakfast room. Two bedrooms are also on the main floor, the master king room with en suite bath and a queen bedroom with hall bath. Exit to a large deck with grill, table, chairs, and rocking chairs. Also exit to another large covered porch with rocking chairs. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and the other with 2 twin beds. These rooms share a hall bath. On the lower level is the game room with pool table, large flat screen tv, game table and chairs. On the lower level, there is another full bath and a large laundry room with washer and dryer and folding table. From the game room, you access the lower deck with hot tub, table and chairs. We bought this property after many years of traveling up the mountain as a family to spend time in a cool, relaxing environment with a multitude of activities for all ages readily available. Hiking, walking, biking, skiing at Ski Beech 1/2 mile, great restaurants 1/2 mile, Beech Mountain Club (with golf, tennis, swimming, playground, exercise room) white water rafting, golfing (several beautiful golf courses are in the area) skiing (ski Beech Resort, Sugar Mountain, Hawksnest, Apalachian), snowboarding, tennis, bird watching, reading, horseback riding, and on and on. Winter snow transforms the area into a winter wonderland while summers are cool and relaxing.

This home is quite large and allows the family to be together or spread out for some quiet time. Plenty of room for two families to share. The multiple decks are great for relaxing as is the hot tub. The house is approximately 1/2 mile from Ski Beech Resort as well as a variety of restaurants and Fred's General Mercantile. Beech Mountain Club privileges (golf, tennis, pickle ball, pool, and rec facilities) are available for your use for a nominal fee as is Buckeye Rec Center and both of these facilities are just a few minutes from the house. The nearby towns of Banner, Elk, Blowing Rock, and Boone offer unique shopping experiences and recreational activities. The Blue Ridge Parkway provides terrific scenic roadways.

The house was everything we hoped for and more. Bedrooms were large & comfortable, living space was generous, and even though the house is in a neighborhood we had plenty of privacy.

This house is great. It is in a great spot and has plenty of room for family and friends.
Beech Mountain is the highest town in Eastern America and an ideal vacation spot in the North Caroline Blue Ridge Mountains. Mountain elevation is 5,506 feet. The house elevation is approximately 4750 feet. Ski Beech Resort is about 1/2 mile from the house. This house comes with Beech Mountain Club membership privileges (fees apply) including a beautiful, private golf course, driving range, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, heated pool, gym, and restaurant with exquisite mountain views. Other close by skiing at Sugar Mountain, Hawksnest Resort, and Appalachian Ski Mtn. Snowboarding is also popular. Other activities are golfing, tennis, white water rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking, zip line, horseback riding, and more. Local attractions include Tweetsie Railroad Theme Park, a wild west theme park for young children. located in Blowing Rock, offers rides on historic coal-powered steam locomotive, amusement rides, live shows, county fair games, a small animal park with deer, rabbits, emus, llamas, goats. burros, miniature horses, pot bellied pigs, turtles, and more. Grandfather Mountain, downtown Boone and Blowing Rock, Linville Falls and Caverns, Mast General Store and many more places of interest. There are many hiking trails on Beech. Biking is very popular on Beech and there are several trails for biking. In winter, Beech Mountain is a popular getaway because of the snow which transforms Beech into a winter wonderland and in summer because of cool summer temperatures and the many activities available.
